Big River Grille & Brewing Works

We tried it twice for lunch.
Don't care for it too much.
If you're in the mood for burger and fries, try Beaches & Cream instead...

Have fun!

We have always enjoyed it there , it's just pub food good beer we hit there the first night of our trip to the BWV quick and easy:smooth: although being a bar we have witnessed a bar brawl around closing time , we were staying 2 floors above the place when we were awakend by some yelling so we did what you do we sat on the balcony and watched ,security was there instantly hey a free show:smooth:

We ate here last time we were at WDW, about 1 1/2 yrs ago, and the food was just so-so. Not much better than your avarage burger joint but much much more expensive. You'd be doing much better going to places like Chilis and TGI Fridays.

We ate there this past July. I have no complaints, but at the same time, I would not rush back. I would rather try something new next time.

It's OK. Not fancy, casual atmosphere, pub-style food. We've always had decent service, and found the staff that we have encountered to be polite. It's nice to sit on the Boardwalk.

Not a place that I have to go everytime I am at WDW, but if I was walking by, and I was hungry and felt like relaxing and sitting outside on the Boardwalk to eat and watc the world go by, I'd probably eat there.

We just ate there last week. The food was good. Our waiter was outstanding. the best service we had. His name was Mike. My kids were not the most cooperative that night and he was really great

This is just my opinion.
To me, the big river at the boardwalk isn't as good as some of the other big river locations. I think that because it is in such a touristy area they are more conservative with the beer they brew - it is mostly lagers and easily accessible beer. I sort of like the stout they have at some of the other locations, but I've never seen it at the boardwalk big river location. That sort of makes sense when you realize how touristy wdw is - a lot of people probably don't even realize that it is a microbrew, they probably come in thinking of it mostly as a restaurant. Which it probably is. They have a pretty decent wheat beer in the spring/summer, but it isn't my favorite wheat by a long shot, but it is pretty drinkable. Also, the rocket red is pretty good, it is a little hoppy and I would be happy to drink it most any time. I'd be happy to sit outside and have a beer or two and a burger most anytime, but the beer isn't really *great* but it is OK. It is nice enough most days to just enjoy the location. If I was really looking for food on the boardwalk I'd go to flying fish or maybe even spoodles, but for a burger and beer big river is OK. I kind of think of it this way. Big River isn't a microbrew so much as a disney mid-range restaurant themed as a microbrew. Similarly, ESPN club isn't really a sports bar so much as a Disney mid-range restaurant themed as a sports bar.

Edited to add- I do think that the quality of the beer at big river has gotten better over the last few years with time

I had dinner there with my family, it was NOT good. The food was cold, undercooked, etc. Go to Spoodles instead, much better food there and nicer staff. ::yes::

We went there for lunch one day. Serve was pretty good and the steak was great.

We have eaten there and didn't care for the food much at all.......now the beer that was another matter :)

We have been there in the past and enjoyed it but last Thanksgiving we went & it seemed a little run down & the beer wasn't as good.

We've had lunch there on three different occasions. The first two times we really enjoyed the food. The third time we were disappointed. Every time, though, we enjoyed the beer and never had a run-in with rude staff or uncleanliness (phew!).

I agree! Although, we only had the veggie burgers and not the hamburgers. This is one of my favorite eateries!

Actually, we blame the Big River Grille for our joining DVC! It was after a few of those great beers that we took the tour at BWV, and the rest is history! :earboy2:

I agree with other posters, the food is okay, but the beers are good!
