Big River Grille & Brewing Works

Has anyone eaten here?? I want to try it on our upcoming Sept. trip....
Its at the Boardwalk area......has a micro brewery.....I would like to know if anyone has sampled the beer there?????
They are on the DDP but dont take ADR........Just wondered if it always busy or what.........I have never seen a review on it........

We ate there 4/25. Food was good, but not remarkable. I had a dinner salad, dh had a pasta dish. It was nice to dine outdoors- we liked the atmosphere around the boardwalk. We got in right away at 5 pm (have 2 very young children who eat early). The fresh squeezed lemonade was very good. Can't comment on the beer, but others we noticed dining there got some free samples.

My one and only experience there was awful - but the beer was good according to the beer drinkers in our party. They lost us on the wait list and then lied about it, had a lousy server and the food was bland to okay. I won't go back.

At at Big River 5/5 for lunch. DW had the meat loaf and I had the Red Roceket Rib, I had the PIlsner beer, both had the cheesecake dessert. Loved everything, did not have PS but they sat us immediately, the service was great Angel was our server. He was very attentive. The Meat Loaf was 3 very large protions and the Ribs were great. Sit outside if you can, inside it's a little cramped, outside very relaxed as well as an awesome view of the the land and boardwalk. Hope this helps.

Thanks for responses.....I still want to try it even though I have read some other reviews that are negative.......I like Micro beers.......sample them.....and I love ribs so it looked good too me.....We like the boardwalk area........its just a good evening there.....

We went there on our last trip; it was average. I had the Roasted Turkey sandwich and everyone else had cheeseburgers. It didn't stand out in our trip though.
My sandwich was bland. I don't know about the burgers though but I think I should have gotten that instead.

They don't take ADR's but you can call that morning and make a reservation, which is what we did last April. The meal wasn't super memorable but it was good. Beer was great. It was a nice change of pace and eating outside was nice. I can't remember everything we had but I know the kids cleaned their plates which in my house rarely happens since they both eat like birds. My husband I'm sure had steak. I think he had steak every night of vacation. Enjoy!
