Wow, great to hear the good reviews, we haven't been that fortunate. Love the beer and the location but have only had one good meal there after many
(7)times eating there. I know you are all thinking many trips and one good meal...it all comes down to the BBB and LLL beer, beer, beer, location, location,location

Us too, it's just not the best place to eat, the food being very meh compared to most other on site restaurants...

but the location........and the BEER. Those two get us every time.

DH and I are considering this restaurant for his Birthday dinner, but neither of us drink beer. Is it still a great restaurant if you don't drink the beer? Is the food really good?

Food. Sad to say not very good and this is after dozens of tries.

Beer. Excellent.

Location. The best.

We continue to go based only on the location and the beer.

Especially the beer.

I don't remember the pumpkin beer being sweet tasting, but it has been a number of years since I've had it. What I do remember it was one of the best tasting beers I've ever had.

Of course, I haven't seen it on any of the recent menus for the restaurant, so they may not brew it anymore, but enjoy whatever beer you have there.

Pumpkin beer was fairly typical of their other specialty beers...you tend to smell the flavoring more than taste it. They're usually offered for very limited amounts of time and most of them are pretty interesting, from the essence of chocolate to cloves to florals!
And you're right, pumpkin was not sweet at all...it just sounds sweet. LOL

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!

My husband and I had dinner here (ALONE! WOOT!) at the end of October and we chose it for the location. I wanted to sit outside and have a nice dinner.

Dinner was OK. I would not choose to eat here IF I had to sit inside, the food was just ok, it cost 86$ for our dinner but it was the location I wanted and that is what I got! We LOVED sitting outside on the boardwalk, here are a couple shots I took from where we sat at our table...

Agree...that beer sampler is wonderful! I play it very seriously and write my *findings* (opinions LOL) on the description sheet that comes with the beers. Too fun!

We went there in the beginning of the month and really enjoyed it. The food was not gourmet but it was very good. I had the balckened mahi mahi sandwich and the rest of my family a burger. We all enjoyed it. The beer was excellent.

We were there yesterday for a beer tapping. (DH had a beer. Me -- I only like the beer cheese soup. ) First time we attended one. Kinda neat.

A beer tapping! How fun....what's the beer called and how was it?
