I was looking at the Big River Grill...trying to find different places to try other than the most popular places.

Has anybody got any reviews?
thanks

It is not fancy, but we have eaten there a few times and have enjoyed it.

We really enjoyed it! We had a meal there one night and sat outside so we could just watch the world go by on the boardwalk!

We have always enjoyed it. They have a nice assortment of food on the menu, something for everyone, moderatley priced. The beers are quite good also.

We were just in this past week to try a couple of the fall beers, they were good but still love Rocket Red.

If the weather is nice, sit outside, it is a great place to people watch.
If it is hot, sit inside, great place to cool down, kick back and relax!

Wasn't bad...I would certainly pick many of the 'disney' restaurants before this but the food was good, the beer was good, and we sat on the boardwalk looking over the lake, epcot, and BC/YC. Come to think of it, it was actually a nice little place.

We were not impressed with it at all. But others like it. Guess it what you are looking for in a resturant :)

I tried this place last May. I had the sirloin and really enjoyed it. I've been told by Disney Dining that they don't do reservations for them though. I was able to walk up and get seated for lunch with no problem. I might try them again this coming Friday for dinner if I get the chance - F&W may keep me busy and full :goodvibes

Last time I was there was a couple years ago, but we ate there many times. We stayed at the Boardwalk. I really liked their Cesear Salad with grilled Mahi Mahi.

We gave this place several tries and had poor service and food. There are so many other good choices at WDW, we decided that we'll go elsewhere. So many restaurants, so little time.

We eaten there a few times because of the convenience when staying in the Epcot resort area and have always enjoyed it. We've had several of the dishes. The grilled chicken cashew chicken is DW favorite, my DD likes the chicken alfredo, the meatloaf is good as well.

Ate there once years ago, didn't like it, poor service, never went back.

I was actually considering going there on our upcoming trip and I asked DH what he knew about it. He gave me a horrified look - he was a chef at WDW for 13 years, he opened ESPN and worked at both Flying Fish and Spoodles so he actually knows what he is talking about.

I asked why the look, he said he has seen their kitchens...and you don't want to :scared:

We had a terrible meal there one night. They forgot about us and we saw others arriving after us being seated. Then the hostess was rather rude about not seating us. Then she seated us at a table that still had the remains of another guests' meal on it - dirty dishes, glasses, old food, etc. When they finally got around taking our order, it took forever to bring us our food (oh, and they still hadn't cleaned the table at this point either). When the food arrived it was burned on the outside and still frozen in the middle. Needless to say, that was our last meal there ever. It had just too many things go wrong to give it another chance.

We've tried it a few times, and it has progressively gotten worse, to the point that we won't go back unless we are just desperate for a seating. Beer remains good enough, but the food has slipped terribly. Service truly hit or miss, but mostly miss.

I was there a few weeks ago for lunch. Had the beer cheese soup and a house salad. The soup was quite good, not as good as at LeCellier, but still good. The salad was large and very thoughtfully composed with a delicious dressing. I'd say it's not a place to avoid nor is it going to be at the top of anyone's list. You'd probably be very happy to have this place near where you live.

we ate their this past september. the atmosphere is noisier than other WDW Restaurants, it is more of a modern pub atmosphere. Our meals were outstanding. The service was good. The only complaint had nothing to do wiht the restaurant, rather a party of 8 sitting across from us. They were so loud, we literally were shouting at the waitress and she couldn't here us. They were able to sit us at another table.

If all you want is a beer and a burger (along with nonchalant service) BRG is fine.
Their grilled meatloaf used to be a big hit with me, but it has deteriorated to the point where the last time, there was nary a hint of Italian Sausage in it and perhaps a teaspoon's worth of gravy over the whole thing.
Poor.

I eat there for lunch at least once on every trip. I enjoy the beers and the food is pretty good for what it is.
