Big River Grill And Brewing Works (Comments)

We recently ate there and enjoyd it. Jalapeno Cheese Dip was great, as were the steaks. Great beer flights. Kids meals were good too.

We ate there last time. Food was good, dont remember what each of us had but it doesnt stand out as being bad, which in turn is good. Got it?:thumbsup2 Thought the beer was very good for a microbrew. Actually got to talk with the brewmaster who was sitting at the bar beside us about upcoming beers and he actually asked me about what I thought would be interesting. I cant remember the name of it but they had a very nice IPA on tap when we were there with a good deal of that hoppy bite you get with an IPA. Anyway, go for an OK meal and stay for the great beer.

I'm a big fan. The beer flights are great, and as I recall, the beers are pretty competively priced vs. the stuff in Epcot. I've only eaten the burgers, but they're pretty tasty.

The hummus appetizer is good and a HUGE portion!! DH got the grilled meatloaf and thought it was wonderful. I got the chicken alfredo pasta and loved it. I had the cashew chicken salad on another visit, and it was my favorite meal of the trip for me. They were very accomodating for DD- she wanted a plain cheese quesadilla, and it was no problem for them. DH liked the different beers as well. We would definitely go there again.

When I called a few days ago to change an ADR the CM told me that they do not make ADRs for Big River. She said it was walk up only. You may want to check yours, but from reading the reviews this place will not be crowded enough to need an ADR anyway.

BRG is ok for a beer and a burger, but that's about it. Service is inattentive/nonchalant. The place "smells" of hops and wort.
If you go, eating out on the Boardwalk is probably a better option.

ADRs...

To echo the previous poster, I was not aware that Big River accepted advance reservations other than 24 hours prior to the time you wanted to eat there.

Anyone know for sure? :confused3

We ate there a few years ago at one of their tables outside. I don't remember what I had, but it was good. I liked being outside with the kids. I remember we did the beer flight as well.

They do what they call priority seating. You'll have to call them at (407)569-0253.

We have Adr`s for Oct. Can anyone tell me how the food is?

IMHO:
Beer pretty good. Place smells funny though, probably the fermentation or ingredients. Almost a musty smell. If you eat outside, you probably won't notice it.
Food passable, just pub food, nothing special. Decent burger. Overall, it used to be better years ago.
Service is hit or miss, usually miss, nothing outstanding. Borderline terrible 2 of our last 3 visits, which is why we haven't been back in awhile. Have yet to have a server really knock our socks off.

Too many other (and better) places to eat in the Boardwalk area.

Yup- I called over 90 days out before our January '07 trip and got a reservation, no problem. Disney Dining doesn't handle the ressies, Big River does them directly.

The place may have good beer, but the food & service more than offset it.

We love Big River!! We actually don't even make ADR's - we've always been able to walk up (but we've eaten there for an early lunch and then an early dinner). My dad LOVES the pulled pork sandwich. I've had the burger; very good. They have homemade potato chips, too. The chocolate dessert - it's an Oreo cake - is to die for! It's a great place to get away from all the craziness at the parks and just enjoy the Epcot resorts view.
