Big rides

Hey everyone. What is the best way to do all the "big" rides in one day. I'm talking just rollercoasters and such that my DD wouldn't be able to go on. I need one day to do all the things she can't do, such as EE, SM, RnR, ToT, M:S, and the such. Thanks!

We did it one night during EMH's. We had park hoppers. My mom and dad stayed with my dd at the villa and we just literally RAN from ride to ride. We had a BLAST!

I doubt you could visit all 4 parks in one day, although there are DIS'ers that have done it. You should start in the park with your absolute most favorite ride. The only problem is that some of the "biggies" will be closed out of FastPasses by noon or 1pm.

My DH and I just got back and we did Animal Kingdom, Epcot and Magic Kingdom in one day. We probably could have then done MGM, but we had dinner reservations at California Grill.

I'm thinking that if I go on a day that is supposed to not be very crowded, do just the big rides, and drive myself that I might be able to do it. Tell me what you think... Start at MGM and ride TOT and RnR, drive to Epcot and ride at least M:S (maybe TT and Soarin depending on lines), and then go to AK to finish up with EE. I think I could do it. If I have time I could ride SM at MK, but that one is not that big of a deal.

I would do Studios first since ToT and RnR are near each other. Epcot next since right across the street for MS, TT, Soarin' etc. Animal Kingdom next and hope the FP aren't gone for EE and KS. Magic Kingdom last since these are the oldest of the big thrillers I would think the FP's would last longer.

I would also plan it so you are at an AM EMH for the first park you choose and an PM EMH for the last so you have extra time.

My suggestion would be to start at a morning EMH park- Ak would be the best choice if you can do this on their early open day- head staright to EE and ride and then go to the Safaris and ride. Head out of the park and head over to MGM(You should be there about at opening). Get onto the RnR and then ride ToT(neither should have line of more than 20 minutes. Head over to EPCOT. Grab a FP for TT or Saorin and then ride the other standby followed by MS standby. Then get on the one you got the FP for earlier. Take the monorail to MK. Get a FP for Splash, take the train to Space Mountain and ride standby. Then head back across the park and pick up a FP for Thunder Mountain before riding Splash mountain. Once you ride Thunder standby you are done. At a time of the year that isn't busy it should take less than 1 hour to head out of AK. About 50 minutes at MGM, up to 2 hours at EPCOT (you won't arrive until after 10), and then up to 3 hours at MK(you may not arrive here until after noon).

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I am going to try to hit all the big rides a week from Tuesday or Wednesday. It is supposed to be really slow! (Keeping fingers crossed.) I will let everyone know how it goes. Another question. If I have my AP and my daughters AP, can I get fastpasses with her's?

At least in July, EE fast passes were gone quick, and then the line was terrible the rest of the day. We actually went to AK for a second day, with the purpose being to ride EE, because we couldnt' get in on day one (not willing to wait in that long of a line). Anyway, that second day, we got our fast passes first thing, at 9 am, and they were for noon.

You might just want to consider that, perhaps it's different this time of year though.

As a single rider, you'll be able to go in the single rider line, so that will expedite things for you. It will also help if you eat on the go all day - QS instead of table service.

It can probably bo done if the parks aren't very crowded. I didn't catch what time of year you plan on doing this. If it's like Christmas season or spring break, then it will be tough. Otherwise, DH did this last June (business trip to Orlando). He was able to do everything he wanted, and even did a few things twice I think. At MK though, he was going by HM and the teacups of all things, saw no line and went on...but then he missed out on Splash and BTMRR. He just missed them. I am certain he hit Mission: Space, TT, ToT, RnRC, EE (twice), Space Mountain (also more than once, I think), HM, and the Teacups !

It sounds like you have a day by yourself to drive up to WDW alone fromsomewhere else in Florida, but if you are planning on going for a week or something and just trying to have a day to yourself, I agree that using a baby swap would also be a good strategy. We often split up briefly at WDW while doingthe baby swap. the area near SM in MK is one of the best areas since there's several things for the little ones to d while the adult are on SM (peoplemover, Buzz, Rockets, gift shops, arcade)

I live in Tampa and am planning a day by myself minus my DD4. I just want to hit all the rides that I can't do when she is with me. She'll do everything that she is tall enough for except for ToT. She's done it, but doesn't really like it, so when she is with me, we don't do it. I really want to focus on doing EE (never done it!), RnR, ToT, and M:S. I'm planning on going a nonbusy day. Like a week from Tuesday or Wednesday.

We did something similar to this in June, and there were 6 of us in our party. We called it FoPaFaRE (Four Parks, Fast Ride Extravaganza--what can I say, we like to plan!!! )

We started with MGM--drove there after breakfast at the Polynesian. We went straight to RnR and walked on. We could've done ToT with a minimal 5-10 minute wait (it was early), but we were just doing one per park. From there, we went to AK to do EE. The wait said 60 minutes, but it was more like 30. From there, we went to MK. We got haircuts for the guys and lunch and then rode BTM. Space was closed that day, so we actually spent some time walking to Space and then fighting the crowd (parade time) to get to BTM. We got fast passes and got in line, but we were through the line before the fast pass came up--about a 40-45 minute wait. Finally, we left there and rode the monorail to Epcot. We rode TT--the wait was 60 minutes, but a little pixie dust occurred and a CM who saw our T-shirts with our FoPaFaRE plan on it gave us some Rider Switch passes to go to the front. We did all of this, complete with all of the driving, restroom stops, etc., took pics at every park and every ride we rode, and were done by 5:15. If we had had to wait at TT, it would've been more like 6.

Sorry to write a novel, but I just wanted to encourage you and say that you can do this!!!
