Big mistake - PAY ATTENTION :(

Well...I learned a huge lesson today. NEVER....and I mean...NEVER...assume you know who you are trading with. ALWAYS look at the name of the person who you are trading with.

My dd, MickeysMusic wanted to borrow a few of my turnstiles, and I knew she had wanted her mansion pants back for a while. So I went into her room, unaware that there was someone in the room with her. I asked to trade, but she declined...because she did not want me to give her back her mansion pants. I asked to trade again, and the trade window popped up. I put in rare stuff...red, blue and purple turnstile, and the black mansion pants. Even though she sits right next to me, she did not look at my screen and I ASSUMED I was trading with my dd. After the window closed, someone else in the room said, "omg, you're so nice..thank you!" My dd said, "did you just give her something?" My mouth dropped...even though I told her afterward that it was a mistake, it was indeed my mistake. And poof, she was gone. I feel so stupid, but I have learned a valuable lesson...just when I thought I could not learn anything more on vmk. Please everyone...make sure you know who you are trading with -- it will save you from a sad situation that we are now going through.

EDIT: Thanks to all the unbelievable kindness from our friends...I am really just overwhelmed right now (good thing it's time for me to make dinner...it'll give me time to recover lol). You are all so awesome...I cannot believe it. I have lost a few virtual items but I received so much more in return. There is nothing, and I mean nothing...that compares to the kindness Mickey and I have received today. I need to go take a break now or I will not be able to dry these eyes...

and i joethbob traded a lot for fireworks and when i tried it out it did not work when i went back to ask for my stuff bak he said i could only get the narnia teleporters back and for the rest he wanted my hat my forth of july hat. g2g by
