Big MEAL Eater DH and Grazer ME???

We have been going to Disney for 20 years. May 1-6 is first time on dining plan (have always had kids and tiny budget). We are now empty nesters. Problem is my DH is BIG eater (MEAT) and I like to graze all day.

?¿? example: If we go to Le Cellier restaurant, can he use the 2 credits on plan and I just order a potato (off the plan)? I hate to waste 2 of our 10 credits on only a potato? But he used to live in Canada AND he is a steak LOVER, so it would be a treat for him. Me, not so much

Yes you can go to any restaurant and 1 person use dining credits and the other order ala carte and pay OOP. Just let the server know what you are doing and how to charge you before ordering.
It is very easy. I agree wasting a credit on a potato let alone 2 credits...wouldn't be smart.

PS --- Always check the receipt as well to make sure you were charged correctly and you only used the credits you wished to use.

Thanks for the reply! I made reservations on line. Should I alter them to state what is happening? (Oh, and I was a server all my college years and will tip according to two meals. I treat it as splitting, when I order a house salad or potato.)

You don't need to make any changes to your reservations. When you order just let the server know one person will be using the dining plan and that you'll be paying OOP. We've done that and it has never been a problem.
