I want to take my family reunion group to TWO Epcot TS restaurants. We have the following challenges:

2 small boys, sometimes well behaved, sometime not
1 senior citizen who can't eat anything spicy
1 lacto-ovo vegetarian (so Biergarten is a no-go!:rotfl:)
Several picky eaters
Several gormands who want interesting food

And YES, we all want to be at the same place together. I'm thinking Teppan Edo, Tutto Italia or Rose & Crown? Would Le Cellier or Chefs de France be OK for kids?

Any suggestions would be appreciated! :thumbsup2

I am a lacto-ovo vegetarian and I eat at Biergaten each trip. It's not just all meat there, lots of yummy stuff.

Yeah, I have a friend who does not eat meat (she eats chicken though) and there were plenty of salads and other veggie items at Biergarten.

I 3rd the Biergarten recommendation! There's a good amount of options there for lacto-ovo vegetarians and its a great place for your other 'challenges' too.

I'd also recommend Chefs de France or Tutto Italia.

Hey, thanks for the Biergarten tips! I didn't even consider it, assuming that anyplace heavy on wurst and schnitzel wouldn't work for us. But after reading the menu on Allears.net, it DOES look like there is a little something for everyone.

I think it makes the cut!:thumbsup2

Tutto Ittalia would get the 2nd spot on my list, it gets great reviews :)

I agree that Biergarten is the place to go. Have you considered Cape May Clam Bake? It is a short walk (or boat ride) to the BC. That was one of our favorite spots.

I'll second the Cape May Clam Bake - loved it! And one of my kids LOVED it, the other one (my picky eater) had plenty and loved the desserts.

Our situations seem really similar! We just returned from a week at the World on Saturday. We also had 2 sit-down meals at Epcot.

We had in our group:
4 kids, ages 4, 9, 9, and 12. 1 kid is wheat and dairy free, 1 is a typical 4 year old who doesn't like to sit down for long.
2 gourmands who are always looking for interesting food
1 picky eater---only simple, plain food
and one semi-vegetarian who will eat some chicken and seafood

so I feel your pain!

We ate at Le Cellier and Teppan Edo and we loved both of them!

I was apprehensive about Le Cellier because of the blah and negative reviews I had seen on the boards before we went, but our meal was wonderful! The kids were happy with the choices on their menu and had either pizza or grilled steak. They were also given activity books and crayons to keep them busy during the meal. Another plus was the bread that was put immediately on our table so that the children weren't complaining that they were hungry...and the pretzel bread is delicious! The restaurant is a bit crowded and loud, but when you have kids and you worry about them bothering other diners, the noise created by others is not a bad thing! :lmao:

The picky eater had the prime rib, the vegetarian had the potato gnocchi, and the adventurous diners had the filet with risotto and truffle sauce (can you guess when one I had? :rotfl2:)

Teppan Edo was our Thanksgiving meal, and we were happy that they were not serving a special meal that evening since none of us are crazy for the traditional turkey and fixings. The adventurous diners had sushi and everyone else had no problem finding something that suited them on the simple menu. We were all delighted with the chocolate ginger cake. The kids were entranced by the chef who was cooking our food, and that was a good thing since they were all a bit cranky and tired that day, especially the hyper 4 year old. It was a very relaxing meal where I didn't have to fuss at anyone or cut up anybody's meat! :woohoo:

Good luck deciding on your meals!

I'm an ovo-lacto vegetarian and I *love* Biergarten! There is plenty of food here for us veggies!:thumbsup2

I'm going to throw Boma into the mix. It's a large buffet with a lot of food to suit many tastes. We absolutely love their soups and stews. Plus there are pods for salads and fresh fruit. And the food is spicy if you mean the use of spices, but not many of them are hot spicy like jalapeno spicy and the chefs there are happy to guide you toward foods you might like or should avoid.

Boma is already on the schedule for the day we do AK. It's one of our favorites!
