disney has a policy that they will not let you in the park as an adult if you are dressed like a character. They don't want you getting confused with a real cast member.

Haha, no one would think I'm adult, even though I am one. I've been told I look everything between 10 and 16!!

I wouldn't wear a princess dress at the parks just because it'd be very uncomfortable, but I definately would wear one on Halloween, at a party, and very likely even out in public. But I'm a weirdo like that. :wizard:

When we were in WDW in August my dd (14) and her cousin (15) went to BBB and had a great time. The pictures they took afterwards were great, we spent a few $$$$ dollors on all of them. You go for it and have fun. :rotfl:

You can get princess dresses in adult sizes. I have a Snow White dress that I have worn on Halloween. In fact one year when I worked at TDS we were encouraged to dress in the costumes we sold. It is fun to dress as a princess every once in a while (ok I would love to be a princess everyday  ).

sounds good to me. maybe next year we'll take miley there and buy tickets for mnsshp and go there. probably on halloween.
i will probably do cindy and she can choose whatever she wants.
it sounds so cool.

Do you need to make an apointment? And if so whom do I call?

Thanks

I (33) am going on Tuesday with my dd(6) and MIL (50 something). MIL and I are going for the Diva look while dd is going for the up do princess style. We are going to MNSSHP afterwards. I will definitely take some pictures.

OH and ds (3) is going to do the Cool Dude experience!

I would love to see them do someting like this for us older princesses! Especially if they had replicas of the "real" princess dresses, ad maybe the hair, too! Seriously, how fun would THAT be?

Last week I took my DD (15), her friend (15) and my sister (25) to get their hair and makeup done. They were treated great! Plus they got so much great attention in the parks as well. I paid $35 for each of them and then used my AP discount.

I'm glad to hear it's not unheard of for older girls to get the Princess treatment. My niece is 16 and I thought she'd like the hair/nails package, but was afraid they'd think it was strange, LOL.

Disneyshopping.com has adult sized Princess dresses right now for Halloween. Your best bet is to buy one now and save it for when you need it. And, it will probably be cheaper! I also thought that I saw a few Princess type costumes at Target for adults, but I can't remember for sure.

Were you able to use the AP discount on theirs as well? What is the discount? From reading this thread, we're going to book anyway, but I'm just curious. I've got an AP and I'm paying, but my niece does not.

Anyone know how wheelchair access is there?

That is so exciting. I thought it was just for kids! I'm going this DEC. with my
DDs(21 & 25). They would look so beautiful with Princess hair! princess:

I paid for all 3 together and they let me use the AP discount on all. It's 10% just like in the rest of WoD.

How much did it cost you?

Nevermind!

Just saw it was 35$ :)

We have not used the BBB, but the store it is in is completely wheelchair accessible and there are no 'roadblocks' to getting a wheelchair into the BBB place itself. If the person using a wheelchair can't get out, the stylists would just have to work around that the same way as the stylist in the beauty shop we go to for my DD works around her wheelchair.

It would have to be wheelchair accessible to comply with the ADA.

On my last visit in July I saw an entire wedding party of brides maids walking around DTD in BBB sashes. I congratulated the bride. She brought along her own "bride" sash. She said they thought it would be a fun thing to do before their bachelorette party in DTD. They looked very cute!
