Hello, I am here to beg a favour. I would like to ask you to offer your personal suggestions for my eating itinerary at WDW this upcoming October 11-18th. It will be DS (8yo) and I on our own. We will be on the dining plan, and I am specifically looking for TS dinner recommendations. Here is what our general park itinerary looks like, however I have no problem ending the Park day early and travelling elsewhere (think to Epcot) for an ADR. Any and all suggestions would be truly appreciated, as I am drawing a bit of a blank. We are not picky eaters and have enjoyed the following places previously: Epcot - Nine Dragons, Chefs de France, Le Cellier, Rose and Crown, old Mexican restaurant (name escapes me), Coral Reef, MK Tony's, Plaza, HS - Sci Fi, 50s PT, AK Tusker (character brekkie). No problem to revisit any, but also thinking about trying something new and also maybe venturing to other resorts. Thanks in advance!!!!!

Staying at SSR
Mon - late arrival - likely pick up something in airport or at resort
Tues - MK - MNSSHP
Wed - Epcot
Thrs - Epcot
Fri - Not Epcot (due to F&W)
Sat - Not Epcot (due to F&W)
Sun - Not Epcot (due to F&W)
Mon - leave for home

Any recommendations would be great!!!!! :worship:

They are hard reservations to get, but consider O'Hana for breakfast or dinner on a day you go to the Magic Kingdom. They have lots of stuff for the kids.

We are on the deluxe dining plan so we have mostly TS reservations. My daughter is going to be 7 and we are doing a lot of character meals. We have O'Hana for breakfast, Cinderella's Royal Table breakfast, Akershus breakfast, Tusker House breakfast, and 1900 Park Fair for dinner. We also have Rose and Crown for dinner, California Grill for dinner, The Wave for lunch, Tokyo Dining for lunch and Marrakesh for dinner.

Mon - late arrival - likely pick up something in airport or at resort - not sure how late you're arriving, but SSR has nice quick service options.
Tues - MK - MNSSHP - We personally like the Plaza, LTT and Tony's for TS. We also like CRT for lunch, but it's pricey. For CS we like CHH and Peco's.
Wed - Epcot - We like Tutto Italia, Biergarten, Nine Dragons (since the renovations), and Le Cellier (although lately we've been walking to Yachtsman Steakhouse) for TS.
Thrs - Epcot - for CS we like Sunshine Seasons, Yakitori House, DH likes Mexico, and the bakery in France, yum.
Fri - Not Epcot (due to F&W) In DHS we like 50s PT for dinner and Sci-Fi for lunch. CS we usually do Studio Catering or Backlot. I've heard good things about Pizza Planet though. Sometimes we do MM for the Fantasmic package.
Sat - Not Epcot (due to F&W) AK we like Yak and Yeti and Tusker house for TS.
Sun - Not Epcot (due to F&W) AK CS we like Flame Tree BBQ.
Mon - leave for home

Resort restaurants we like: 1900 PF, Narcoosee's, Ohana's (dinner), Kona Cafe, Yachtsman Steakhouse, Big River Grill, and the Boardwalk Bakery. SSR, like I said before, has nice counter service options. Sometimes we'd just grab something quick there and the pizza's and such are made to order.

DTD: Fulton's, T-Rex and PH (we like to sit at the bar for apps and drinks), Rainforest for dessert, Earl of Sandwich, and Wolfgang Puck Express.

I think that's everything we personally like lol.

My DS's favorite dining experience of all time is HDDR! It costs 2 TS credits per person, so when on the DDP, we pay OOP for this one and save that night's credit for a different meal, like a nice lunch in Epcot. He is 13 now, but he LOVED HDDR at ages 5, 8 and 10, and begged to go back this year.

Some other favorites of DS at age 8 were Chef Mickey's, Crystal Palace, CRT (he likes attention from princesses and also appreciated the decor in the castle-- also 2 credits, but you can get a similar great experience at Akershus) and 'Ohana dinner.

Ditto on the Hoop Dee Doo Review! We went in 2005 on an extended familiy trip including 7 kids ages 15 months to 15 years and they all loved it. We then went on a return trip in 2009 with the same kids -they still loved it! Especially DD (who was almost 8) and nephew (who was 10). Way worth the TS credits.

I'm also a fan of Chef Mickeys (breakfast only) and the Crystal Place (although it depends on you DS opinion of Pooh characters) and O'Hana for dinner.

I'm not a fan DHS TS restaurants. I vote you do CS when at DHS and do HDDR with 2 credits.

I like the Biergarten at Epcot -they have great German music during dinner (think fun polka!) and you sit at communal tables. They have great food and a big variety.

Have fun -we'll be there the week before you!

OT: I notice you have "not Epcot F&W" on a few days. Do they have special hours for Epcot due to F&W like MK does for MNSSHP? I'm new to October and F&W so help is appreciated!

A couple of people have already chimed in on the Biergarten-I just wanted to say that I second that vote! Really fun time. My husband and I went last year on our adults only trip and are planning to take our girls back this time because we know they'll love it! The inside is like you are sitting outside in a little village. Excellent food and it's only 1 credit!

My other favorite is Wolfgang Pucks Cafe....food is yummo! Great variety and super convienent to Disney Quest (which the kids love). It's our tradition to go there the 1st night and then go over to Disney Quest afterwards.

Thanks everyone, very helpful suggestions! Interesting feedback about the HoopDeeDoo....might have to consider a trip over there! Maybe we'll make a night of it and go to the bonfire afterwards!

If anyone else has any suggestions, I'd love to hear them! :thumbsup2

We always eat at Totto's. It's one dining credit and very good italian food. The service is also very good. When your drink is half full, they fill it back up! Very good service. The food is Exceptional! Great try it.
