I'm noticing the resorts are saying four and five occupancy. :( Really? Do they insist on it? We don't want two rooms!!!! We really want to stay on resort. Our babies are all still pretty little. Ages: 9yog, 6yob, 3yog, 19mog, and 8mob. I really, really want to bring them, but I'm going to lose the battle with dh if we need two rooms. (I'm already losing the fight over strollers, backpacks, lines, etc.)

I'm not sure if the occupancy includes babies, but I would think they are pretty insistent on it for a few reasons - such as safety hazards and losing money by allowing more in one room, for example.

I'm sure someone will appear with a more definitive reply though!

Based on the ages of your kids you have 5 people that can be counted towards the room - DH, You, DD9, DS6, DD3. The younger 2 don't count as they're under 2.

Now my personal opinion: you can probably go with a deluxe that has 5 occupancy limit or a moderate like POR with a trundle bed. I really don't think you want to stuff everyone in a value or any other room that only has a 4 person occupancy, not only because Disney won't allow it, but the rooms are fairly small and you could get quite cramped.

If you can swing a deluxe, most of them (except WL and AKL) will have a daybed on top of the 2 queen beds so you can fit 5 people plus a couple of cribs/playpens. It could get cramped in there, but the Contemporary's garden wing rooms are pretty big and I can see putting everyone in there.

Another option to consider is renting DVC points from a DVC member here. That way you may be able to swing a bigger room. If that's not possible, then you may have to go 2 rooms at a value or go off-site and rent a villa.

I have 5 in my family - DS14, DD5, DD4, DH and myself...We stayed in Contemp last yr (we had saved a long time!), but this year we are staying at PopCentry. Got two rooms connected there for way way way cheaper than one room at Deluxe resorts. and the bonus is the extra bathroom! :cheer2:

Ditto the DVC rental. With that many mouths to feed, it will be a blessing! Also, the cabins are cute if you are into that kind of thing.

How about the Fort Wilderness cabins? That would give you two separate rooms, too - handy for different sleep schedules - plus a kitchen for breakfast and evening snacks (or more, if you want). They are pretty reasonably priced, too, as far as Disney goes.
