Big changes coming to "Express"

After hearing that the on-site perks were going to be better than ever I rushed out and booked a week at the HR in November. All-day FOTL seemed pretty good, and I couldn't wait to hear what would be even better.

Don't tell me that they are actually reducing FOTL privaledges. A one-shot access is a huge downsizing.

As much as I hate to admit it, I know deep down I agree with Uneamie about FOTL.

But without any reservations, I also agree with Uneamie about having E nights! Due to the time differences, early entry mornings are a killer for us. An 8 am entry is 2 or 3 am for my body. And it is 4 or 5 am for visitors from the west coast. To allow on-site visitors a couple of hours entry after park closing would be fabulous! :)

I would really like to hear the details regarding the FOTL changes. I don't understand how this will work. I am sure they have it all worked out, but does everyone staying in the same room have to have their "one FOTL ride per day" at the same time? What if some of your family gets up early and rides, say, MIB. Does that mean the other family members don't get a FOTL turn because your room key has been used for this ride already? We really need more info - No fair just teasing us Earl :)

Nan, I read that each occupant of the room gets his/her own key so presumably the system will be clever enough to recognise each one seperately.

I'm sure that when all the details are revealed there will be something "Extra" for on-site guests.

I don't normally visit this board because I have never been to Universal in Orlando, so I'm not sure what has already been discussed, but I wanted to share this information, and this thread seemed the perfect place. My husband just got back from a business trip and met with a company that is producing fast pass machines for Universal. They said that since fast pass worked so well at Disney, Universal was going to implement a similar process. The company is currently making 50 machines, with orders for more on the way. Just an FYI.

Thanks for the information!

Welcome to the univeral board and please come back!

The reason we are staying at HRH is the Front of the line access but one ride each is better than waiting 1 hr. for each ride. Now I will definitely buy the 3 day pass. This rule will definitely add more days to pass purchases and hotel stays. That universal always thinking $$$$.
