Big Celebration Trip-August 2008

We are planning a celebration trip for August 2008. There will be 11 of us. We leave on August 2 and return on August 8th (these are both driving days)

We will be staying at Pop!

We will be arriving Sunday morning. We will check into Pop and depending on how everyone feels we will either go for a swim, have lunch and go over to DHS. Since we go about every 3 years, we only have a few things we would like to do here.

Once we are done here, we will either go back to the hotel and relax for our day at Magic Kingdom or head over to DTD to do some shopping.

Lunch: We will eat at Pop
Dinner: I am hoping to eat at Sandwich of Earl (love this place)

We start Day 2-Monday and our anniversary at Crystal Palce. We have ADR for 8:15 am.

We will be going to Magic Kingdom, as you can tell. This is the big day for us as it is where everyone wants to see and do everything.

Breakfast: Crystal Palace
Lunch: Pop Century
Dinner: Pop or Cosmic Rays

Since this is our anniversary, I would like to have a cake delivered to our room while we are at the park. Has anyone ever had a cake delivered at Pop?

We will be going to Epcot today. Again these is not much we are going to do at this park.

Today is a misc. day. If the kids want to go back to Magic Kingdom we can do that, but for now we have it planned to go to Animal Kingdom. There is not much we want to do here either.

Dinner: Trails End Buffet

We are ending our day and vacation at Fort Wilderness. We are going to take the boat from Magic Kingdom to the campground, have dinner, enjoy the movie/sing a long with Chip and Dale. We then hope to be able to see the Electric Water Parade. We will then take the boat back to Magic Kingdom and back to our hotel to pack.

My family thinks I am weird for doing all this planning now. I keep telling them when you go in August, you need to have some kind of a plan to get the most done and still be able to go back to the resort in the afternoon to rest and swim.

Well since it has been over a month since I posted and I have not had any replies, I am not sure if I should continue...

I will let you know that there have been some changes in the plans.

We will be leaving home a day earlier. August 1, we will pick DH up at work at 4 pm and be on our way. We hope to make it just south of Atlanta before we stop for the night. We will be at Disney Saturday night, but have made reservations at a hotel offsite for the night. Sunday morning we will get up and make the big 5 minute drive to our resort. My Ddad and DSM will be there about the same time as us and my Dsis and family will be there shortly after on the Magical Express Bus.

My daughter has also decided instead of a cake, she wants us all to go for the Kitchen Sink on Tuesday for lunch.
