I just wondered where you can get BG points for 40 cents a piece? We bought the $129 special and have not yet booked our vacation, since Branson is so close it would be great to have a ts there also! Where is the best place to buy resale? Thanks!!
40 cents per point is the standard rate resale, it's possible to get under that though I'm sure you'd pay closing extra. Email me and I'll give you a contact or two that I have.

Dean, Didn't you say previously that since BlueGreen has the priority system for making reservations based on the number of points you own that resale points do not count towards that number, only points bought directly from BlueGreen? I still think this stinks because my membership and 13K points are just as important as someone else with 20 or 25K. My Surrey in Branson has done the same thing. Thanks.

Kirt, let me preface by saying "as I understand it" as I am not a current BG owner but I have checked into it a lot. In the past resale points could add up to make one a silver or Gold member (20K & 35K). It has been rumored that this is no longer or will not longer be the case but I haven't heard a definite on this one way or another. There is also a rumor to add a Platinum level at 50K points but it is only a rumor AFAIK. As I understand it, silver and gold give you benefits to get on the wait list early for certain internal exchanges, some benefits for short term stays and upgrades as well as the option of using points to pay for the fees.

I had been thinking of converting my La Cabana units to BG points then I sold my main unit there so the value wasn't there for me to do the smaller conversion. I've just bought another unit which will give me good value if I convert but it is a holiday week and a 3 BR so I don't want to lose that exact week and type of unit. I'm trying to find out if I can keep that exact unit as the weeks part of my points will be tied to and give up my two other units. If I can and use the 3 parts as I wish under the rules (it's a 3 BR 4th of July double lockout), I'll convert by buying 3000 points retail and get the new fees structure which would actually be much less than what I'll pay to the resort if I just keep the units as is. The problem is I'll never use 42K points, and don't want to rent them routinely. This policy change also decreases the value IMO.
