Big Brother 8 *Spoiler* Thread

There has been speculation for years about the BB producers "messing" with the competition; especially in the years that they have had more people viewing the live feeds. New people to feeds always get upset at the amount of times the FoTH happens, but us "oldies" are so used to it because it happens SO often. You used to be able to watch food competitions and back in the day, POV competitions, now neither are shown. The HOH competitions are usually on the live Thursday show, but are shown on the feeds (imagine that Dick was wrong the other day when he said we couldn't see the HOH comp. on the feeds mwahaha) if they are long endurance competitions.

Last night (around 2:30am), Dustin, Jessica, Eric and Dick were sitting around the hot tub talking about this past HOH comp. FoTH kept coming and going but there was mention of blindfolds and how the producers kept yelling at them for continuity because apparently the competition was started, stopped and restarted several times (due to Banner Gate), but it seems like the banner wont be discussed on the actual show. On the live feeds last Thursday, we kept getting a message that said they were having technical difficulties and that's why we weren't seeing the HOH comp. but Dustin & Dick certainly made it sound like more was going on than Banner Gate and technical difficulties.

Also, the HGs are very close to the guys behind the walls :lmao: They often ask if so and so is working, quickly followed by FoTH and no further mention of said so and so. It certainly wouldn't surprise me if certain things were rigged or planned to keep ratings going.

BB might be a game show, but there were several times last year when I thought the producers were instrumental in keeping Janelle in the game. Call me a cynic, but that's what I think. :rolleyes1

I totally believed the same thing!!!! I still do, and I still feel that they have alot to do what is going on with the guests in the house for sure:rolleyes:

I am waiting to see who Daniele puts up in place of Jen (Eric?), but I am almost betting that at this rate the final three will be Jen, Kail, and Zach. Whatever. I don't really care this year.

It sounds like there is a small faction in the LNC, and perhaps Daniele won't have the votes she thinks she has to get rid of Eric if she puts him up? Is anyone else seeing or reading that?

And, for the love of Pete, will someone get Amber a decent anti-depressant?

...I hated Jen. Now,I hope she wins! she's the only one that stands up to Ugly Dick! The girl has balls!

i loved Dick at the beginning and hated Jen, now its just the opposite. I watch the polls at CBS.com and she is now the most popular :thumbsup2 I think alot of people are starting to think like us. I can only imagine that this personality she is showing has to be somewhat of an act. And she is really playing the part well. I agree, she stands up so well to Dick.

I see that her popularity is soaring too. What I can't figure out is why she was still America's Choice to be nominated? If you go by the polls, Amber would be a likely choice.

oh..no..I think Dick is HOT! ewwh baby!!...no really I think he is cute, he acts like and looks like most guys I date!

I'm going to say that Danielle will put up Dick because of the way she said it will shock everyone...I know crazy but think of the drama that would ensue(btw I love Dick, I think he's great looking for a guy his age and doesn't fit the "standard" guy mold!)

I agree with you too!

I am sick of ED and his yelling and screaming. :sad2:

Hi All,

I'm more of a lurker here but came across this and thought you might be inerested...

"The producers of the CBS reality show "Big Brother" have grounded a pilot they say planned on ruining the show.

Lawyers for Endemol USA Inc. sent a cease and desist letter to Jerry Hider of Blue Yonder Air, to stop him from flying his plane over the "Big Brother" house. According to Endemol, Hider was planning a flyover carrying a message that told the other players in the house that Eric is "America's Player" -- essentially ruining part of the game.

Endemol alleges that by doing this, Hider's proposed actions would violate a "tort of intentional interference of an advantageous business relationship" -- or, in layman's terms, "Dude, don't ruin the game!"

Hider alleges that he's not trying to ruin the game, and that he was simply paid to do a job. The peeved pilot wouldn't release the name of the person who has been hiring him to make "Big Brother"-related runs, but said that up until now he, CBS and Endemol enjoyed "a symbiotic relationship." In 2001, Endemol even produced a story about the banner operation.

In a statement to TMZ, CBS says: "It's always great to have fans that are this engaged and passionate about 'Big Brother.' However, we also need to protect the integrity of the competition, which does not allow any outside influence on the houseguests who are sequestered from the public broadcast and therefore unaware of some of the secret twists in the show."

Is Hider going to try to fight Endemol and CBS? Not likely. He told us "If I had a bunch of attorneys I would fight this, but it's not worth my time."

Im glad they stopped him. I dont think they should be able to fly banners over giving away aspects of the game. Though Eric is not my favorite and I will be glad to see him go. I would rather it happen the way its going in the game.

This is total CBS spin.

If they DID fly the banner without CBS's okay, BB can make sure they never see it... much less get it on camera during a HOH competition... who does CBS think they're fooling?

I am sure you all have this posted, but I haven't seen it yet on here. Maybe it doesn't belong here either. But, here is ED's MySpace. Go look at his pictures and the 2nd and 3rd one...WOW!

Erik is up. Jes/Jam/Dus/Amb are sticking with him (voting out Kail). They've told Zack if he votes to keep Kail, they won't hold it against him. They are planning on going "after" Dan/ED.

JMHO, but not a smart move on Dani's part. She should never have put him up if she didn't have the votes.

I'm glad about the banners. At least things are a little more interesting.

OMG, is the 3rd time the charm? Could we FINALLY be getting rid of Kail (who half her town works for?).

IF Amber and Dustin were good game players, they would realize how important it is to break up Eric and Jessica. They are only going to get stronger together. Dustin doesn't realize it is not the norm to big in such a big alliance. They say Dani and Dick are getting strong together and need to be broken up. So does Eric and Jessica.

Kail is powerless in the house! She can't play for HOH! She has no alliance. Why would they get rid of her? They are playing to personal. I think maybe they can get 1 more vote. It would make it more interesting if Eric goes. Game on!!!
