We are staying at the Swan in January for my boyfriend's first trip. His "thing" is breakfast. I am planning on 3 big breakfasts with one being Crystal Palace before MK opens (hopefully).

What should I do for the 2? One is our later Epcot day and the last is on our departure day.

A major consideration is travel time- anyone have any reviews? Ideas?

Currently thinking Spoodles and Fresh

Other possibilities:
Yacht Club Galley
Garden Grove
Cape May Buffet (not really looking for a character meal)
WCC
Kona

He wants basic good breakfast items (omelets etc), he's not a creative eater or else Boma would be on my list. Thanks!

Yacht Club Galley has a breakfast buffet and you can still just order off the menu if you prefer. It is a very good buffet and you can visit the buffet line as many times as you want...so it would definitely quality as a big breakfast..
You would need an ADR as they are not comfortable with walk-ups, trust me on this one.

Also on omelets, you may have to order that special as last time I was there I did not see any omelet station....it was scrambled eggs etc..

Menu can be found here: http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/dining/diningdetail.cfm?Restaurant.ID=12#menu

YCG would be a great choice. Fresh is a buffet also and a good one--but things can quickly back-up at the eggs, omlette, pancake station.

Even though I really enjoyed my eggs benedict and bloody mary at Kona, I would not recommend it for a "big" breakfast. My DH got some item...I think it was called the "Big Kahuna" and was supposed to be a big breakfast meal, but it wasn't really. I mean, not compared to buffets (obviously.)

I think Spoodles has some "all you care to eat" breakfast, but we did not order it the last time we were there.

My DH REALLY, REALLY likes the all you care to eat skillet at WCC. I think it is also reasonably priced, compared to many breakfasts in The World.

I have not eaten at YCG, but my DH went there for breakfast once while I was doing a princess activity with DD, and he said it was awesome...not sure if he got the buffet or just ordered a regular breakfast.

DH and I were both disappointed with Fresh. I almost hate to say that, because it always got rave reviews here. To us, it did not seem like such a great selection, and yes, the lines really do back up.

BTW...please read my Boma breakfast review on the review board. That breakfast is unbelievable AND they have an omelet station with "normal" stuff to add in, plus carved ham and pork (there are unique condiments to choose on the side) and scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, french toast, oatmeal, fresh fruit, pastries (I could not believe how good the chocolate croissants were!) Then there are a few unique things...like the biscuit sausage casserole. It has a creamy curry sauce, but honestly, it is not really "weird" and I just don't see how a breakfast lover could not LOVE this dish! Also, next to it they have a "breakfast bobotie" which might scare him off because of the name, but it is an egg and corned beef hash thing. So far, this is the best breakfast on property for DH and I!

Enjoy your CP breakfast...that one is great, too!
