Lucky People! They just showed them in the middle of Main St by themselves then rushed on by what looked like hundreds of Characters!!!

Just wanted to throw this out to see if anyone else had heard this...

When we were in WDW a few weeks ago, we were sitting on the sidewalk along Main Street waiting for Wishes, and there was a really fun CM who kept coming by talking to us. He started talking about the YOAMD, and everything that was going to happen. He didn't go into much detail about the prizes except for one...He mentioned that there would be one family picked who would be able to visit ALL of the Disney parks...WDW, DL, Tokyo, etc. He kept going on and on about how exciting it would be for a CM to come up and tap you on the shoulder and ask if you were ready to see the world!

Just wondering if anyone else had heard anything about this since I haven't seen it mentioned here among all the other prizes that are going to be given away.

Details: the showed the family of four (mom excited, daughter totally scared/disinterested) and asked what they thought (imagine, they were excited).

They explained that it was the kickoff of the YOAMD, showed the girl (again, scared/disinterested) on space mountain, and showed them getting rushed by cast members on main street (pretty cool to watch but seriously- that's it??).
Then they showed the plans for the Cinderella's castle suite which look really wonderful- it will be done in January.

All in all: total letdown. I could have been getting laundry done.

Just watched GMA- they had the winning family on. I believe there names wee the Spanglers- mom, dad, son and daughter! They showed them on main street with a red carpet being announced and then being greeted by every Disney cast member and Character, especially Mickey and Minnie.
As GMA reported, they are the winning family that gets the Keys to the Kingdom. They get the park to themselves. Reporter was talking live to the Family from WDW and they had already gone on Main Street, Space Mountain and they were heading out to do more. It looked like no one else was in the park .
They did show some artist photos of the Cinderella Castle suite.
It looked like the family was in total shock.

I was watching America's Funny Videos last weekend and not paying a whole lot of attention and he started telling about what seemed to be a give a way that includes both parks and a cruise and I did not catch anything else. He said to watch AFV in the future for more details

DD and I really want this. There are 3 of them. It is the Grand Marshall prize. I'll hunt for the details. Disney really thought of everything, they even include money to pay for the tax on the prize. DD(11) is trying to figure out how we can save 45K to do the trip if we don't win. I guess there is a lot of ebaying to be done Guess we only need 35K as it isn't taxable if we pay out of pocket.

Well, just got back from work at MK. It was a lot of fun. I enjoyed getting to wear the HM costume (and if my area shows on tv, I was standing next to Lilo). If I was the family, I would just be in shock right now.
