Hi, Our son's surprise trip to WDW will be here in just 9 short days! But, I guess I should back up a bit.

We are a family of 3. Myself, 34, DH 36 and DS who will turn 6 while we are at the world.

My first trip to WDW was on our honeymoon. Hubby had been there many times, I had no idea what I was missing! All it took was that one time, ....and I was hooked! I can close my eyes and still "see" the first time I ever set foot on Main Street at MK. I remember the first time I saw the tree of life and was so "Wowed" by it's beauty and craftsmanship. Each animal, so beatuifully represented. I could go on and on...It's just such a wonderful place to visit and each time I see something I never noticed before and try something new. Oh-Oh...I almost forgot...Illuminations! My favorite thing in the world to see in the evenings! Our DS was born in 2003 and had his first trip to the World when he was 6 Mos old! He had a blast! Our fondness of Disney would triple-to say the least-after that fun trip! Experiencing Disney with a child made it all that much better.

So these are our past trips:

2000-Caribbean Cruise-then 5 days at Caribbean Beach*Honeymoon*
2003-Embassy Suites
2004-Embassy Suites/Beach Club Resort
2006-Animal Kingdom Lodge/Beach Club Resort
2007-Caribbean Beach
2008-Animal Kingdom Lodge-Beach Club Resort
2009-Pirate Room at Caribbean Beach

I have loved the resorts that we have stayed at already, and look forward to trying them all. This year, in honor of DS upcoming Birthday and finishing Kindergarten, we have chosen a Pirate Room at CBR. We are so excited!! When he opens the door and see's the carates, ship beds, plank flooring, he is going to flip!

You see, our trip is a Complete Surprise for his 6th Birthday!

DS has enjoyed each trip so much that he regularly watches the "planning DVD's" that we have here just to see the rides and show's when we're not there! We try to sprinkle "Disney Magic" into everyday things whenever we think of them: Mickey stickers on sandwich baggies in his lunch, having meals on Mickey shaped plates, Disney shaped pastas from the grocery store.

He just can't get enough of the magic! Anyway, he has been asking since the day we returned from our last trip, if we can go back. We, of course, want to go back just as badly as he! Ha!

So, with him having such a big year at school, (Kindergarten is all day-every day here) and turning 6, we decided we would surprise him. We booked our trip in November, and have been planning it and keeping it a secret ever since!
Now that it is only 9 days away, I'm finishing up last minute things/ideas I found on these Dis Boards! What a great place by the way! Great advice, great ideas! I think I'm addicted and I see I'm not the only one! I made my first T-shirt yesterday and now DH wants one too. I think they will play a big part of DS big surprise!

For now, I have some laundy to work on and then my Dh's shirt to do, then I'll post more about how we plan to tell DS! Check back!
