Biergarten

My son would like to eat at the Biergarten during our upcoming trip. Your opinions on that restaurant would be greatly appreciated.

We ate there on Saturday for lunch. The food was plentiful, and our server was great. We enjoyed hearing the band who performed polkas, etc. The tables are large, so we were seated with another family, which I wasn't prepared for but really enjoyed getting to know the other family. It is reasonably priced for lunch: we had brats; a very mild sausage with sauerkraut; roast chicken; roast pork; apples; pototoes; pickled red cabbage which I really liked. There was a simple salad bar--mostly lettuce, and cold salads. Desserts included some puddings, cake, eclairs. Even my DD liked it.

I love Biergarten! It is my second favorite World Showcase restaurant (Norway #1).

The buffet food is excellent (and I'm not a buffet fan)!

The only thing that I wasn't fond of was the seating. The tables are very long, so you are typically seated right next to another family. Some people love this, some don't. I didn't love it, but it wasn't too bad either. We will definetly go back next time!

If you go through the boards you will find several threads to the Biergarten. Simply put, if you like German (Barvaian German) food and athmosphere you will really like the place. Its very authentic from the athmosphere to the servers and band members.

We love Biergarten ... the food and show are all wonderful. It is a must do for us and My 13 DS favorite restaurant anywhere.

We've eaten here twice. Both times we had lunch. The atmosphere is wonderful--looks like a German village. The band plays polkas and other music and some people even dance. The food is very good and plentiful. Watch out for the root beer though--it's not the typical kind my kids discovered.

We had lunch there two weeks ago and I really, really liked it. The food was wonderful. They has "spatzle" on the buffet which is one of my favorites.

The only thing I could add, other than agreeing with everyone else is to try and find the showtimes and to time your meal accordingly. The only thing I don't like about this place is sitting down as the show is ending.

One of our favorite places! The dinner buffet is definitely better than lunch. The dinner buffet has Saurbraten! Yum!

Keep in mind that you will be seated with other people. The tables are long, rectangular tables that seat 8 people. But, everyone has a good time, with the singing and everything - and you'll have fun meeting new people!

We like this restaurant. We(DH andI) usuallygo for lunch every year. About the long tables, a number of years ago our children were touring the parks with friends, so it was just DH and I(now that their grown that's the way it normally is but back then this was a treat) We were supposed to be seated at a table and the couple had 3 children with them. We expressed our disappointment at just having left our own children to have some time by ourselves. Having other people's children with us was not what we planned. They happily moved us to a smaller table on the end where we were by ourselves. When we go now we sometimes mention that we'd like to be with other adults (no offense) and the request is always honored.

Mom23guys2---this will be our last trip as a family. Our last trip was just DH and myself (I have to confess we had a GREAT time). My youngest child is going as a Senior trip along with sons 22 and 20. They have all been warned......this is the last time they are going when I foot the bill. Next trip they are on their own!

However with our rowdy group of 5 we will probably be the table everyone is trying to avoid sitting at!
