Any opinions? I have been thinking of going there this year and keep thinking about it, being German I knowmy parents, oldest son and I would enjoy it, not sure about the yonger 2 though. Do they offer any simple foods for the kids? How is the entertainment? Thanks.

sorry I scrolled down a bit further and found another thread about it!

It is one of my families favorites. My not quite 3 yr old on our last trip would not eat. Due to excitement and end of June heat. For three days it was like drinks only for her and mickey bars. Hey dairy is a good for you right and ice cream counts. Then we go to Biergarten and my kids loved the entertainment and Peanut as we call her couldn't get enough to eat. She had 1 1/2 cups of chicken spaeztle soup and pretzel bread. We still talk about it and can't wait to go back in Sept.

You say your parents are German? This restaurant uses every cliche in the book. Expect a large hall like Munich's Hofbrauhaus, an oompah band in Lederhosen, more Wurst than one normally eats in a year in Germany, and servers in Dirndls. Some folks like that, but others are a tad insulted by all the stereotypes.

This is an awesome place. They have a great potato leek soup, lots of cold salads, meats and cheeses, pretzel bread sticks, tons of veggies and meats, chicken dishes, there are chicken fingers, mac and cheese and hot dogs on the kids side, the desserts are pretty yucky though.

Biergarten is fantastic, wonderful atmosphere, nice servers excellent food for people of all ages and the cool entertainment is a meal time bonus!
