I know that a lot of people love this place, but we didn't.:sad2: My DH and I were in Tampa over the weekend so we decided to go to drive over to Epcot on Friday. We had made an ADR for the Biergarten because we had never eaten there and had heard so many great things about it. Well we were thoroughly disappointed to say the least. As my DH puts it...."I would expect soooo much more from Disney". The food was gross. It tasted nasty and was barely warm to boot. It looked and tasted like it had been sitting there for God knows how long. The best thing about the meal was the soup, and even that was just OK. And to top it off, both my DH and I were up throughout the night with upset stomachs. I would never recommend this place to anyone. That was almost $75 wasted.

I have to agree with you, the Biergarten is not good. I ate their in 2006, and thought the food was not good. Plus what it cost, you don't get your money worths. I do like german food, but what they had did not seem to be very german like. I will never go back their, ever.

We don't plan on going there again either.

Sorry you had a bad experience. We go every other year and have always had a great meal.

Sorry to hear that you had a bad meal & experience. Did you bring it to Disney attention?

We have always enjoyed biergarten. Not one of our must do's. Everyone has different taste. We felt this way about Boma. Sorry you did not enjoy yourself. I know the feeling.

What do you suggest that we do since we are already home?

At this point, i'd do nothing. But if i'm at a restaurant and having that bad of an experience I would certainly let the manager know ASAP.

My husband and kids LOVE Biergarten, but it's just not my kind of food. However, we'll be eating there again this Sept.

Sorry you had a bad experience there.:sad2: We've only been one time, but we all loved it. The food was good, server a doll and the kids loved the dancing. Again, sorry your experience was so blah.

Ditto to this! I had read so many wonderful reviews of Boma, so we tried it in 2006. It just wasn't our "cup of tea". ;) But, that's the great thing about Disney, there is something for everyone's likes and dislikes!!:woohoo:

Merry G

I agree we had the same experience when we dined there. Poor selection, dry, no taste food. I would not recommend it to anyone either. the only good thing for us was the music.

We are trying for the first time this trip and will be going for the atmosphere rather than the food.

We have always enjoyed Biergarten. I think it's even gotten better over the years since our first time in 1995. It's a must do for us.

Sorry to hear you didn't enjoy it.

Sorry you hit them on a bad/off day - we have been multiple times and have always had a great time and great food. I would be very sad to have a poor experience at the Biergarten since we love it so much and look forward to it.

But as we can all glean from reading these boards regularly, it seems like ALL WDW restaurants have bad days (some more than others, some less than others).

That's exactly correct all restaurants have off days. We like eating there but not our favorite in Epcot.

We went to Biergarten on our most recent trip (last week) and it was a pretty good offering of German food. Everything was fresh, well seasoned and prepared, and service was good. Beers were huge!!:drinking1

I agree with other posters - every restaurant has an off day, but this is one that - according to what I have seen on the boards - does not usually have too many. I'd give it another go in a heartbeat!
