I don't hear the Biergarten discussed too much, I thought the entertainment would be fun with the kids. What is your opinion of the buffet?

I like it, and I go every so often for a late lunch. Lately, I've noticed a bit more variety in the buffet (a couple of different selections in the salad section and rice and different veggies on the hot board).
The entertainment is fun, good band and if you know how to polka you are invited to the dance floor for a couple of songs.

Dinner has a couple more selections than lunch, but IMO a late lunch is just as good for a few $$ less.

You will probably be seated at a large table with another party, but I enjoy meeting new people.

I have said it before, and I will say it again...we love the Biergarten. I love German food ( even if it's not real authentic:rolleyes: ) and enjoy good buffets. we ate there 2 times last time and if I have my way we will eat there 2 times next week! I speak german ( rusty as it is) and love the chance to embarrass my family by speaking it to the servers.
We have 6 people in our party so we have never sat with anyone but when we went alone ( just 3 of us) we ate with a terrible family from England that ate LOUDLY and kept their seats out so far we would have been better off to crawl under them to get out. Our server noticed we were not pleased and came over and gave us a Deutsch pfennig ( which was no longer in circulation) and told us a story about it being good luck. It must have been becasue the other family left a few minutes later! My story is not to push people away from eating with strangers but to show how great the servers are there.

My DH loves it, the beer, the saurkraut, the whatever-wursts....I don't eat that stuff. But I do not enjoy the after effects it gives my husband........................OMG!!!

That's why I do not like it because in a few hours my life becomes a big stinky hell.

LOL gonga - thanks for the input everyone. There will be 7 of us, so it will be nice to all be at one table.

Loved it before it went buffet and "jammed in with strangers" seating. Last time there we were trapped against a rail. Separating us from the buffet were two of the rudest young Frenchmen you could imagine. I speak just enough French to know they were totally trashing everything Disney and American (this was 5 years ago). We could not leave fast enough.

We only have eaten here once, but we enjoyed it.
We went in not really knowing what to expect, and they sat us at a table with another couple... Unfortunatly the other couple was not exactly willing to get into the spirit of things, so we were hesitant to get too into it and make them more uncomfortable than they already were! The food and the service were great and it was a really fun atmospere!:D

My family and I have also always enjoyed the Biergarten. Not as extravagant as the one in Busch Gardens, Williamburg, but the show is cute and the "saurbraten" is melt-in-your-mouth good.

WE LOVE IT!!!!:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc
Good food, and great wine and beer selection!! The entertainment is great too!!

You know I really don't remember how the food was last year, but all I remember was having a GREAT time watching my 2 year old daughter and 4 year old son dancing the night away!!!! What a great time!

I've never been but these reviews have certainly made we want to try it out...

You have to try it once. We go every few years (not each vacation). My DH and I are each 1/2 German so we like the kiddos to experience some of the heritage. Fun songs!!!! I wish the black forest cake was soaked in Kirschwasser, though. It's rather plain. You certainly can find food for everyone (like roasted chicken).
The first time we ate there several years back I took a great big bite of what I thought was some kind of potato salad. It was a cold fish salad and I literally ran to the restroom and lost my supper! I have never seen that horrid dish since then so hopefully it's been banished to Bavaria!!!!;)

Does the band play only at dinner, or does it play for lunch, too? Thanks!

We love it, too. My DD 8 & DS 7 enjoy the show and the buffet has something for everyone. The big mugs of Beck's certainly help...

We're not big on buffets, but we do stop at the take-out counter and share a bratwurst and saurkraut and a beer for lunch. It's just enought for 2 to take the edge off between breakfast and dinner.

My husband and I ate there last October and loved it! We went for lunch and the food was plentiful and the music great. Enjoy!:p

My family's favorite restaurant at EPCOT. We eat here every year. Wear loose clothes, preferably ones with elastic tops to allow for expansion.

;)

German food is far too good to be relegated to a buffet with heat lamps shining down on it.

This should be like all the other Epcot restaurants.
You should place an order, and it should be prepared for you.

Otherwise, the restaurant decor and entertainment are great!

Love it! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc The saurbraten served on the dinner buffet is very good! (For food in a buffet with heat lights shining down on it) ;)
