Does anyone have any experience dining at Biergarten solo? I have always wanted to try it because it seems like such a fun atmosphere and I am a fan of German style food. I know I will be seated with another group of diners, which I am okay with. I just wondered if anyone as ever eaten here as a solo traveler.

We haven't dined here solo, but we've been seated with a solo traveler. My husband, parents, and I ate here with a random family of three and an individual. All eight of us had fun together. We chatted, ate, enjoyed the show, and left. No one would have known he was "alone" by looking at the table. I think it's a great restaurant to eat in when you are alone - you get companionship for your meal!

Same here. We got seated with a solo traveler there on a business trip. I'm not sure he particularly wanted to eat with a loud outgoing 5 year old, but we all got along just fine. I say go for it. If I was going to WDW solo, I'd probably eat there!

We too have dined with a solo traveler and had a great time. He was there with his family but since he had been station in Germany while in the Air Force, wanted to relive that experience a bit. That got the conversation going with my husband who had been in the Air Force and had visited Germany.

So, if you do fine there solo, I would recommend YOU start a conversation with the others. There are a lot of folks who think you don't want to be bothered so think of ice breakers to get things going.

This is not restaurant related but I did the single rides at Expedition Everest and got in with a single teenage girl who said nothing to me. I thought she was the type to ride the thing over and over again. It wasn't until we were up in the mountain and she started to really get into everything that I realized it was her first time. I wish I would have started a conversation with her on the ride up the mountain. After the ride, she was more than talkative and we both could have had a better experience if one of us had opened our mouths.
