Biergarten Seating - Relative to Stage

I'm sure these questions have been asked and answered many times before, but the "search function" seems to only turn up communal seating threads.

Here are my questions:

1) How are the tables arranged relative to the stage? Are they oblong tables arranged perpendicular to the stage (i.e. everyone turns to their left or right to view the stage)? Are they oblong tables arranged parallel to the stage (i.e. half the table party turns around to view the stage)? Are they round tables (some face the stage, some have their backs to the stage and some turn to face the stage)?

2) Are some areas better than others for a view of the stage? If so, will CM's allow you to indicate a seating area preference or do they just direct you to the next available seat?

TIA

they are perpendicular to the stage, just look left or right. The stage is pretty big. There are multiple levels to the restaurants (one step up) so that everyone has a good view. Just remember that they dont perform constantly, so check their schedule and plan around it. Last time we went they had just ended so we saw about 2 min and they didnt come back on while we were there.

Yes, they are perpendicular to the stage. Just turn your head to see them. And they are on levels. Not real tall levels but I've been there many times and I can always see the stage just fine and I'm really short. If you have kids, sit them towards the stage and you'll be fine.

As far as seating is concerned, you could request a specific area to sit but you might have to wait.

For the schedule, http://pages.prodigy.net/stevesoares/ will have the current times. Right now, they are:

Daily at 1:15, 2:15, 3:15, 4:45, 5:55, 7:00 & 8:05pm
Length of show: 25 minutes

I try and get a seating for about fifteen minutes before a show so I'm seated before it starts and it's quiet. Then I eat while the show is going on and I'm done after the show when it's quiet again. I get a full show and I can sit and place my drink order without shouting and then settle the bill without shouting.

We have been to Biergarten many times as it's DH's favorite. We have sat in the bottom, middle, & top tier & on both sides. While sitting upfront is better you can see & enjoy the show from any seat.

Think of sunshine and sunbeams.
. . . the elevaste4d stage
. . . the floor-level dancefloor
. . . a railing
. . . long tables radiating like light sun rays

Thanks to all for your quick and informative replies. This Board is a wealth of information.

Are people in scooters seated on the upper level ? We will have one for my husband, but mainly for mobility in the parks. Is there a place to 'park' them while you eat ? Is that pretty much the case in all table service restaurants ?

You should check out the Disabilites board for more information but if your husband can walk to his table, he can leave the ECV outside the restaurant. I now we ate with a woman who was in a wheelchair and were on the upper tier.

My mom is always in a scooter. She just left hers right outside. There was alot of them sitting there. We've always asked for a table next to the stage and have always gotten one. In fact we've been there three times and have received the exact same table all three times.:rotfl:

Here are some pictures to maybe help a little:

On this shot the stage is on the very right hand side, tables all around to the left and middle:

This shot is from a table right by the dance floor area on the right hand side of the stage (left side of the restaurant as you enter):

Shot from the same place as the one above but a wider angle shot showing more of the stage/dance floor area:

What do ya'll think? I did not realize the show times and length of show. We have reserations for 5:15, the show times are 4:45 and 5:55. Should I leave my time as is or should I change it? If I change what time do you suggest?

The odds are it will take a few minutes to be seated. You should be fine. And of course you can dawdle over a second beer and see the show. Last time we went we walked in to the start of a show and were there to the end of another.
