Hi, Has anyone had their buffet? we are thinking o doing this during our next trip. Tell me the good & bad. I read they they have dancers - Can you tell me how often they have a show? Thanks, Gina:)

Can't tell you how often the show goes on -- I know that during our dinner, something was going on most of the time, then they took a break.
I absolutely loved the food, but then again, I love German food. The sauerbraten was very good, but it may not be for everybody. (It's like a soft pot roast with a ginger snap-vinegar (or "sour") gravy).
Other things a little more "American" are the roasted chicken and the roast pork, which I thought was the best. I had several portions of just that!
"Schnitzel" is a fried cutlet -- either veal, chicken or pork. I forget which they serve, but it also was very good.
Then there are different kinds of "wursts" which are sausages.
Unless your family is very picky, I cannot imagine that they couldn't find something they'd like. The desserts are also very good.
One negative for some is that you might be seated with "strangers." The tables are long and buffet style -- so a party of four maybe seated next to a party of six.
The bottom line is I would eat there every time. My wife and kids always vote for something else -- not so much because they didn't care for it, but because there's so much else to try!
Have fun whatever you choose!

If you like German food, it is a must, very good. If you don't then it is a maybe. There is still a lot to choose from, roast chicken etc that are more to typical american tastes, and lots to experiment with if you are not familiar with German food. I enjoyed the show, mostly music on traditional instruments and the atmosphere is good as well

I love the Biergarten. Like the others have said.. f you like German food then you will like it here. There is all kinds of entertainment inclusing a band and they encourage kids to come up and join in. Dd just loved it. I always try to eat there but sometimes new places win out. I dont have an ADR for this trip but would have if I could not get leCellier ADRs.

My Dh and I tried this for the first time on New Years Eve and we loved it. The food is buffett style but it was awesome of course it was german food, but the meat there was delicious. The seating is fun b/c they sit you with other guests in your table and the beer is awesome, we had one of those pitcher looking cups filled with Spaten and it was great only needed one of those and was ready to party the night away for new years. The show they have is super fun and the guys in the band are really funny. The restuarant is absolutely beautiful and the enviroment and service is awesome. We definitely recommend this restaurant.:thumbsup2

We were just there 2 weeks ago and the food was awesome. There is so much to choose from, plenty of cold salads and meats and cheeses, plenty of hot foods and a delicious soup. The only lacking part is the desserts, they were gross (with the exception of the apple strudel with vanilla sauce)!

The show is a lot of fun and the beer is out of this world!

Wellllll...............dd18 and I had a combination of bad things there and we will not bother to return (too many good places that we like to chance going THERE again). First, we didn't really mind being seated with strangers. I love to talk to people and never have a problem with it. HOWEVER, we were seated with a man and his teenage son who very obviously kept trying to stare down my daughter's tank top. She got annoyed very quickly. I cleared my throat and made eye contact with them and raised my eyebrow (the MOM look). They never made any attempt to watch the entertainment.....because they were rudely staring at my daughter. She was not able to eat while being stared at (believe me, this was NOT subtle, it was freaky). I started to take a bite of my food............and there was a very long, dark and curly hair in my food. Gross. I got the waitress' attention and simply asked for our check and asked to speak with a manager. The manager was not concerned in the least about the hair in the food and came across as annoyed because I bothered him. You would think that they would want to removed the food item from the buffet........but no. This grossed me out beyond belief.:sad2:

The Biergarten is one of our favorites! Our whole family loves it. The band is very entertaining and funny also. It's fun to watch people get up and dance and the kids love it. The food is wonderful, and there is plenty of "regular" stuff to enjoy. None of the food is really strange. Typical German comfort food, IMO. We've always made new "friends" at the table. One time there was a couple of 40-something guys that made no attempt to be friendly, but there was a set of grandparents with their grandkids sitting between us and the two guys, and we had a great visit with them!

We stumbled into the Biergarten ane afternoon last December without any ADR's only waiting about 15 minutes. I thought the food was very good, mostly Americanized German sort of thing but hot and tasty.

The show is not bad but really loud if you're down closer to the stage. I liked the German waitstaff, nice kids. You get seated with others at larger tables and we got next to a Scottish couple with two wee kiddos whose accents were adorable.

We have two ADRs for Biergarten coming up next month during our trip, it is a must-do for us. We *love* the German food and also the show. You should practice yelling "ticky tocky ticky tocky hoy hoy hoy!" as that is what everyone yells out at the end of the German songs when it's time to toast. The band will teach you how to do this. :-)

Once I was there with my DSIL, DBIL, and my niece. We were seated with a family of four that was not very friendly at first. When the oompah band started my niece (then two) took her straw and waved it to the beat, like she was conducting the band. The formerly unfriendly family started laughing and it melted the ice. Sometimes the other folks at the table will be friendly, sometimes they're just quieter. Generally we've had good luck and met nice folks.

I've also found the CMs here to be amazingly friendly. Also, if you don't like beer, try the German wines, the rieslings and Gevurztraminers are very good and food-friendly.

DH liked it a lot I thought it was so so. You have to really like vanilla to eat there cause they put it on all their desserts almost. Maybe because I'm not used to that kind of food but it didn't agree with me. the rest of my family was fine.

Got same day ADR's for lunch during Spring Break.

We sat with a family of 4 and a single traveller, a man from Germany!!! It was great. We sat right by the dance floor and loved the show.

We all enjoyed the food, and dh and I had a beer flight each! Great fun!

Here's a view from our seat!

Have fun!

We went in April. We had a group of 8 so we had the table to ourselves which was nice. It was our family of 4 and we were traveling with friends (another family of 4). The entertainment is so much fun. The kids enjoyed being able to go on the dance floor and polka (well it was there rendition of the polka!). The guy would plays the saw is amazing. The food I would have to say was so-so. We loved going but I don't think we'll be back. We're trying to eat our way through the EPCOT countries and now we can cross Germany off the list.

This is actually an aspect of Biergarten that probably doesn't get enough attention--the show. The musicians are wonderful and great at getting the kids out and dancing. Our kids love it. And a great way for them to work off more energy--in air conditioning. (as if working off energy is a problem at WDW):goodvibes

The food was just a o k and thats about it... The entertainment was ok not worth the price there are so many better buffets to eat at such as whispering cannon and BOMAS!!! Dont waste your meal plan or your money at germany

Depends on your tastes. I find WCC a definite step down from Biergarten. Boma is a tad better than WCC, but definitely overrated, IMO.

we went there a few weeks ago and enjoyed it ........we were a party of six and an older couple from PA sat with us.......we had a good chat and they were very pleasant. The food was pretty darn good and I tried for the first time the Potato Leek soup......it was outstanding.......they have other foods if you do not care for the german side of the buffet.....YUMMY to all of it

Well I think that Boma rocks and germany was ok and WCC is better than Biergarten any day!! Hve fun and just enjoy and go with our own instinct....

This is mine and my kids favorite restaurant in all of WDW. We always eat there twice on our trips. Food is awesome and so is the entertainment.
