Hi everyone,

Would you recommend getting an ADR for only 2 people here? Also, some of you mentioned that the buffet gets kind of dry and nasty later in the night. What time would you recommend eating dinner here?

AND....most importantly, what kind of beer do they serve? lol

Thanks!

We have never had a problem walking up with two...just went the other night...food is always good and plentiful...might be a bit over priced because there is no big high end item like prime rib, but we like it for a fun place to eat and meet folks from all over the world at your table

Don't take my word for it, but in the summer we were able to walk up for dinner twice and we had a party of five. That being said, the tables are large and you sit with others so I don't think seating two will be too difficult.

Keep in mid the time of year you are going. We were there in Sept. 07 and they were turning people away. We were eating at approximately 5:15 so take time in consideration also. Food was very good and they have a beer sampler which is what we got four or five different German beers. Very Good...

Enjoy

We make reservations for two just because I don't want to risk any chance of being turned away. And it gives them a better idea of how many people are coming in.

The food won't be dry and untasty as it goes into the night. Any buffet food at Disney World is constantly being replaced and refilled.

As for the beer - I can't tell you the exact names but I do know that the one I had was the lightest they had and was pretty good. It's not all that dark beer stuff.

If you get the big beer(s) and you can't finish it (them), you can ask for a "to go" cup. It's quite common there.

Best time to go is when the band is performing. We like to get there about fifteen minutes before show time so we can order our drinks and get the first plate before the show starts. And don't forget that lunch is cheaper than dinner and has almost the same food items.

Are the shows at a certain time? We have 6:30 ADRs in April, I want to make sure we are going to catch a show.

Thanks!

The shows are like once an hour. We had a meal there and lots of conversation with our new friends at our table, and we ended up watching the show a couple times.

We are also a party of two, and this place seems to be hit or miss as far as requiring ADRs. My advice: Better to be safe than sorry and make one if this is a must do for you.

And to the most important question, the BEER. We're fans of the Spaten Optimator. It's dark, but extremely smooth. For instance, Guinness has a much sharper bite, IMO, and I find it a bit harder to get down that the Optimator. I'm just using an example of another dark beer.

They're huge. Practically a meal by themselves.
