Its me, dh, ds(8), dd(6), dd(4)

We haven't done either, but they both look like alot of fun. Which one would you pick?

It depends on their food tastes but I think they are both entertaining. We did tepan-edo with our three kids ages 6, 5, and 2 and they loved the chef who put on a great show. They also served the kids meal in a cool monorail dish. We loved it there.

Teppan Edo. We love it. We eat there every trip. The kids enjoy watching the chef prepare the food and it is always good.

We love Biergarten. We've been there on our past three trips and really want to go back on our upcoming FD trip. There's a great selection at the buffet and the atmosphere and the music are so much fun. It really gives you the feel of being at a quaint, outdoor festival (except that it has kickin' A/C! :rotfl: )

There are always little ones out on the dance floor enjoying the music during the show, too. :dance3:

We ate at Teppen Edo (formerly Teppenyaki) on our 1st trip and haven't really felt compelled to go back. We have Japanese steak houses here at home. :)

At Biergarten is it awkward eating at a table with another family?

We have Japanese steakhouses here too, but yet we still have never taken the time to got to one:rolleyes:

We have eaten at Biergarten several times and always loved it!

One time we got a couple at our table who was very unsocial at first. Then they had some German beer and their whole attitude changed! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

We enjoyed both of them, however, we liked Teppan Edo better. Teppan Edo is actually one of our favorites! The food was fresh and delicious. The chefs are fun and entertaining. We go back everytime we visit WDW. Our DS13 also loves it there.

At any Japanese place you will have to sit at a table with another family. Its not weird at all, you meet some new ppl, we enjoy it!

I say try Biergarten, we love it! So much variety. We have better Japanese here! One thing that I didnt care for Teppan Edo was that they dont serve the sesame rice they serve noodles and the rice is my fave part of the meal..

Biergarten was a lot of fun! DS3 was asleep the entire time, though, so I can't really say whether your kiddos would enjoy it. We sat with a lovely couple and their friend. The husband and my grampa talked military most of the meal. If you eat there, bring me some pretzel rolls.

We ate at Teppan Edo for the first time last week. The kids loved it, the food was really good, and the service was excellent.

No matter which one you pick, you will be sitting likely be sitting with another family. The tables at Teppan Edo are for 8; they vary at Biergarten, but the majority (at least where we were sitting) seemed to be for 8 also.

My kids love both. Teppan Edo is the quieter of the 2 if that is important to you. Anyway, I think both are great, but if my kids had to pick between the 2, they would pick Biergarten. They loved the buffet and the band and they loved being able to get up and dance. :thumbsup2

We did both last month. We enjoyed both but will be returning to Biergarten in September. I was excited for the opportunity to meet another family at both. At Teppen Edo we meet a couple that was local and were taking one of there parents out for the Mothers Birthday dinner. At Biergarten though the family that we sat with was from Japan and didn't speak any English. They seemed a bit scared of sharing a table. They were seated well after us and left well before us. It took us a bit to finish of the liter of Oktoberfest beer. MMMMM

Biergarten was our 2nd favorite meal of the trip with Le Cellier being the first (we ate there twice)
