Hi all...

Trying to decide between these two for one of our Epcot days. We have never eaten at either restaurant, but we have eaten at Shogun, Fuji, Benihana (sp?) and those types of restaurants that I think are like Teppan Edo.

We want the best meal and entertainment for our DS9 and DS2.

Thanks!!

Definitely Biergarten. You are right about Teppan Edo. You can do the hibachi thing anytime. Where else can you see an oompa band? I love the food and it is really fun to sit at the big tables and chat with people. I really like the food even thought I don't eat pork. Spaetzel and pretzel bread. Yum!

We LOVE Teppan Edo and my home town is covered with Hibachi restaurants. Not sure why but it's more fun at Disney! :goodvibes My kids LOVE the serving dish their meals come in too.

Hi, we just ate at Teppan Edo last week. We didn't get the cute little kids dishes, just plain old regular dishes. I don't know if they stopped using these or what. I didn't see any of the tables have them. I was bummed because I thought my son would get a kick out of it and actually EAT his meal.

Never been to the other. But Teppen Edo is good food & good fun. A must do every trip for us.:thumbsup2

At home we don't go to Benihanas or those kind of restaurants. My boys love Tepan Edo (14 and 9). I almost didn't make an ADR for it until they said it was a must do. We haven't been to biergarten.

We loved Teppan Edo as well, thought it was really fun! My guys were 12 & 10 when we went. And I enjoyed talking to the family from Maine who was seated with us at the table. If you aren't into strangers sharing your table, may not be for you.

As for the German place, we've never been & honestly, I see NOTHING on the menu that would make me want to go there. Not at all sure why it gets such high marks from so many on the Dis.

We are going to both on our next trip but if my kids had their pick of one, they would pick Teppan Edo every time. Even my picky eater LOVES it.

You get entertained at each restaurant so I guess it depends on the kind of food you think they would enjoy.

Our granddaughter loved the show at the German restaurant and found plenty of things she liked at the buffet. We've been to hibachi restaurants before and she likes them too. We have a reservation at Teppan Edo in 2 weeks. I am sure she will enjoy that too. The German restaurant is pretty big and very open. The night we were there they had the air conditioning turned up way too high and we froze. We had just come out of a downpour and were soaked.

Enjoy whatever restaurant you choose.

Beirgarten is awesome! We can eat hibachi at home anytime but to get the Beirgarten experience with the music and the dancing we cannot pass that up

I am so glad that you asked this question !! I am trying to decide bet. these two for our upcoming trip with my DH nieces and nephew - they are 16, 13, and 11. We will be a party of 8. Are the tables at Biergarten for 8 people? Which one has better entertainment for those ages? Thanks everyone !!!!
