I'm trying to decide between Biergarten or Rose and Crown...we have three kids (age 3 to 8) and while DH really wants to go to one of these places for a good beer, I'm not sure which (if either) will have anything for my kids to eat or make it a non-miserable experience for them. We've never been to either. Any advice or suggestions?? I'm open to other WS locations that we've never tried before (so San Angel, Teppan Edo, Le Cellier, Akershus are out)

Thanks!:goodvibes

I have take my kids to Biergarten every trip since my DD17 was 7 and DS15 was 4. They love it and it is a must do every trip. And you also get entertainment while dining.:thumbsup2

We've always alternated every year between the two of them. I was slightly disappointed in R&C this past September...found the fish & chips a little greasier than they had been; but it could have been just an off day because every other time we've had very good food. If I had to pick one, I think Biergarten would edge out R&C by a hair.

My DH and I ate at the Biergarten last July and were extremely disappointed. After reading all the great reviews, we were really excited to try it. I don't see us ever going back there. The food was horrible (if there was a throwing up icon, I would insert it here). The only good thing about it was the entertainment.

We just ate at R&C a few weeks ago for the first time. The food was really good! The portions were big and delicious!

I guess it really comes down to what is more important to you and your family. If you haven't already, look at the menus and see what you think will be more appealing to your family. IMO, I would do R&C hands down.

You could also try Nine Dragons or Tutto Italia.

every year for christmas day, my family of 15ish (sometimes up to 20) eats at Rose and Crown. but 2 years ago, we were so disappointed in the food (so not as good as it use to be), so we went to biergarden for the first time ever last year for christmas.
it was so amazing! we decided that it's our new christmas tradition. the entertainment was good, it was just enough that we could ignore it while we were eating, but paid attention to it in between plates/courses. i think everyone of us went up at least 3 times to the buffet (we're all pretty small and usually watch what we eat- even at disney world- and that says something) and made sure we had room for a taste of everyone of the desserts!
beer wise, the men seemed to really like what they had (i don't remember what all they drank, but i know they were pleased)

Def Beirgarten...awesome food, great atmosphere, dancing and a live band!

We love Biergarten! There is a large variety of food for all ages and appetites. My children love to dance to the music! Its a lot of fun and the food is great!

I will choose Biergarten over Rose and Crown everytime. A must do for us every trip - sometimes twice in a trip. :)

We ate at both R&C and Biergarten in December. I was really looking forward to R&C and I was not looking forward to Biergarten. R&C was fine - it wasn't the greatest food in the world, but the food was fine. We sat on the porch, so maybe we didn't get to enjoy the atmosphere of the pub.

We loved Biergarten though! There were lots of choices on the buffet - not just sausages and brats. The band made for a fun atmosphere. The kids ate a lot and the adults did too.

There were 15 in our group. Our group voted Biergarten the best meal!

These are my two absolute favorite Epcot restaurants - I love both of them - good luck in making a choice. BTW they both have GREAT beer!

We haven't tried R&C, but did eat at Biergarten in Feb. I think whether or not you will like Biergarten depends on what you like to eat. I don't like heavy foods, & eat little meat. I ended up eating 2 differents salads, & a roll. Everything else I tried wasn't to my liking. My DH & DS, who do like heavier foods, enjoyed it. That said, if you're up for other suggestions, I'd go with Les Chefs de France. All 3 of us would choose that over Biergarten.
