Biergarten or Boma?

Trying to make a final decision on our ADRs - I have to book on the 18th so I really need to figure this out...I am tossed up between Boma and Biergarten - which would you pick and why?

We've eaten at both many times and really like each. Personally, if I had to choose, I would go Biergarten however. First, being in Epcot, you don't spend a lot of time traveling to get to dinner. (It can take a fair amount of time to get over to AKL even if you have your own car.)

Second, I like the entertainment offered as part of the Biergarten experience. The band that plays is really fun!

Third, being of Polish heritage, I find the German food is an opportunity to get some familiar favorites I don't make too often at home - like some varieties of kraut, the different sausages, etc.

Lastly, the beer in the Biergarten is better plus you get to sing "Ein Prosit" with your stein in hand - not something I get to do at home either.

The food at Boma's is great, but for me it lacks the extras that make Biergarten the easy choice.

We enjoyed both of these as well but the entertainment does give Biergarten the edge. I love that band!

That's a tough one. We have been to both and loved both, but if I had to choose one, then it would be Boma. The deal breaker for me is the entertainment. As a German I found this embarrassing and hard to stomach.

:wizard: We love Boma...it's one of our "must do" meals everytime we go.

We love Beirgarten, been eating there since 91....did not like Boma dinner at all, the sweet flavoring to all the meats was not our cup of tea...now Boma breakfast is the best!

Boma junkie here. The variety of everything, down to the soups, is exciting. And the quality is great. We're eating there again in June, with our first meal at Biergarten the following night. I plan on being stuffed for days!

Biergarten is a must for us. We hit that one on our first night. Fun way to kick off our trip.

We did go to Boma in 06. I didn't care for it that much. Some of the spices didn't agree with me. But the lodge is beautiful.

Boma is my favorite restaurant (so, I'm a little biased :goodvibes). The food is wonderful and the deserts lots of fun. Everything is good quality and doesn't seem like a buffet.

Saying all that however, if I was at Epcot, I would probably choose to eat in the park. It will take you a long time to get out of Epcot - you will be exhausted by the time you get to Boma. We usually go to Boma on our AK day. Since the park closes early anyway, we travel directly to AKL from the park. (I usually pack a clean outfit for me and jackets for the kids).

Biergarten!!

You really can't go wrong either way. We liked Boma, but (like a PP said) thought the meats were a little on the sweet side. Boma's desserts are fantastic. But, Biergarten's food is some of my favorite in WDW... cold board salads and hot buffet items... mmmm... and the desserts from Blackforest Cake to Bavarian Cheese Cake to Vanilla Pudding with Chocolate Chips to Baked Apple Strudel with Vanilla Sauce. Makes my mouth water just thinking about it. In fact, we like it so much we ate there twice last September.

Sorry, I can't be of much help. We have only been to Biergarten and not to Boma. We loved Biergarten enough that it is one of 2 return meals that we are planning (Le Cellier is the other). That being said Boma is on the list for this trip. We will couple that with our AK day as the park closes a lot earlier then the others. I am thinking that we will have to head to DTD after dinner if there are no parks open when we are done to catch a bus back to ASMU.
