We have lunch reservations right at noon when Biergarten opens for lunch during our upcoming trip. When I was working on our tour plan for Epcot for that day I noticed that the German band was listed on the entertainment schedule as playing that day at 1:15pm, 5:55pm and 7:05pm. Does this mean we won't hear them play in the restaurant during our lunch (I'm assuming we'll be there from noon to 1pm) or are these time listings only for their outside performances? Part of the reason I made a reservation at this restaurant is for the music so I want to be sure we hear them play! I realize this may be a silly question, but I just want to be sure. Thanks!

Not a silly question.

No, you won't hear them. The times are when the play in the restaurant. If you want to see/hear them you'll need to have an ADR for 12:45 pm or later if their first show is not until 1:15 pm.

No they only play during certain times. Between those times it is just like any other restaurant without entertainment.

you will probably miss them unless you just want to linger at the meal. An ADR between 1:00 - 8:00 will generally get you a show. They play about 20 minutes and generally play every hour or so.

The band is fun and a nice distraction for kids. There is a little dance floor if they want to burn some energy. You should be able to get a little later ADR if you wish.

Thanks for the info. everyone! I'm so glad to have this straight since we were counting on the music to keep the kids occupied while my husband and I eat and enjoy the German wine and beer (the kids will eat too, of course, only they will be finished within 5 minutes!). My 4.5 and 2.5 year old love to dance, and my 1 year old loves music and should be quite entertained.

I'm trying to change my ADR now. Do you think I should make it for 12:45 or 1:00pm if the music is shown on the schedule at 1:15? Is there usually a wait to get seated there? I'm thinking there isn't, so am leaning toward the 1:00 - we'll arrive at 12:45 and get seated by 1:00 in plenty of time for the band at 1:15. If I'm thinking wrong please let me know!

Thanks again! Less than 2 weeks to go!!!!!!!!!!!! :yay:

Isn't there always some type of entertainment, though?

1) As mentioned above, no.
2) There are no performers on the stage or dance floor.
3) Just overhead atmosphere/background music.
4) I would change your ADR time.

so glad i found this thread! i had also booked me, DH and DD2 at 12nn and read about the band schedule, and just changed it to 1pm! maybe we'll be at the same table : ) just curious, where do you find the entertainment schedule?

I would not have changed it to 1:00. You might want to rethink that if you can move it back a little earlier. If you have any wait for a table, you will miss the show. We ate there our last 2 trips. We had reservations for 12:30 on one trip and 12:45 for the next trip. Both worked out great for seeing the show. At 12:30, you can pretty much get seated and make it through desert and then enjoy the show. They don't expect anyone to leave during the show, even if you are done eating. They actually didn't bring our check until the show was over. At 12:45, we had time to get seated and get and eat most of our main course before the show started. We got dessert during the show, but as I spent a good part of the show on the dance floor keeping track of my 3 year old, I finished dessert right after the show. I would be afraid that 1 would be cutting it too close. I'm not sure you will have time to get the kids fed before the show starts. If you can't get a reservation 15-30 minutes earlier, I would recommend showing up earlier and seeing if you can get seated in plenty of time to get the kids fed before the show starts.

On the WDW website under Epcot Entertainment. Did you go? Did you like it? We loved it!

It worked out fine, probably because we were in the off season and we didn't have to wait. We showed up about 15 minutes before our 1pm ADR and got seated at 12:50. Got the food right away and the kids ate (they're little and very fast) and by the time DH and I started the band started. I took the older two down and made sure they knew where we were and then they danced the whole time while we ate with only the baby at the table. Worked well and I enjoyed my Riesling too! We loved the place and would definitely go there again!

How far in advance is this schedule available?

I'm not sure. If you go to the WDW site and go to Epcot schedule it will show you a month. I think it will show up to 3 months at a time underneath the month heading. Click on the month you want and then on the specific day once the month comes up.

We went last May and again last December and the schedule was exactly the same. I don't think it changes much. Cheryterese I didn't even notice when I saw the thread last night that you had already been! I'm glad you got seated a little early and it worked out great for you! We loved the place too.

You may not hear them even with a 1pm...Biergarten often seats late.We had 445 ressies..We got seated almost an hour late, and saw only the last 5 mins of the show.My dd was very disappointed

OK I am concerned now. The one and only reason we picked this place to eat was the entertainment for the kids. My husband and I just want one meal that we are not hopping up for characters or trying to entertain 3 young kids. They love music and dancing so we were exocted about this one.

We are going Easter week and have reservations at 5:30pm for dinner.

Experts - are we going to see a show?
