My whole family (10 of us) has decided to try and eat together at the Biergarten and has left it up to me to decide to make the ADR's for Lunch or Dinner....any suggestions on which would be better for a large party?

We always do lunch at Biergarten. It isn't crowded, and the show is fantastic!

We've decide to try this one, too. But we're planning on dinner because DH and I want to try the Sauerbraten and that's only offered at dinner. Correct?

We have done both...but the last several times have done lunch because it is slightly less crowded and enjoy the entertainment. The Sauerbraten, according to Allearsnet.com menu listings, is served both lunch and dinner.

Thank you guys for you input....we'll have to shoot for lunch if it's less crowded since I have a 3 year old and 1 year old. Just in case they throw a fit it's less people to have to bear witness to my embarassment! :rotfl:

You will enjoy it...and the three year old (and one year old if walking) can get up and dance.

Why be embarassed with they throw a fit. I don't get embarassed when my DH throws a fit! :lmao:

We did lunch without reservations and only had to wait 5 minutes. Yes, it was not very crowded. We liked the music also. My husband enjoyed the big mug of beer.

If you can do it, ask for the last lunch seating. Then the buffet will be "changed" to a dinner one during your time there. A few different dishes come out. You will not notice anything except the new stuff (if you even notice - I didn't, the husband did).

If your children throw a fit, no one is going to notice it.

Oh and one more thing. If members of your party get the big beers and can't finish them, ask for a to go cup. It's very common for people to get those.

I never knew that!!! I didn't know you could take your beer with you if didn't finish it. :headache:

And I learn something new everyday!!! Thanks for the info!

Glad I could pass on the info about the to go cups. When we ate there over Thanksgiving weekend, I was struggling to finish mine while my husband merrily watched me. Then he said he noticed the red cups over to the side and servers going over there all the time to get cups. The servers don't really suggest the cups because you can stay and enjoy for as long as you like. If I had done that, we would have been there until Christmas!

We go for dinner. We generally don't do TS for lunch. Too much food. Plus the price really isn't bad for a buffet. In fact, it's the cheapest dinner buffet we've encountered on property.

I'd go with lunch. The buffet is nearly identical to the dinner one, but much cheaper.

We second the "last lunch seating" idea. The dinner items will probably be coming out. We did this in December.

When did the Sauerbraten get on the lunch menu? Last spring I thought that it was only on the dinner menu.

I looked at the menus on both the DIS and AllEarsNet and it looks to me liek Sauerbraten is only on the dinner menu. So, if you want sauerbraten, then book for dinner. That being said, I have eaten at the Biergarten for both lunch and dinner and besides the Sauerbraten, the menus are virtually identical. For me, I will probably stick to lunch for now on a save a few dollars.
