We've been to WDW several times and haven't tried the Biergarten yet, so after reading some good reviews I was thinking of booking it for our upcoming June trip. Buuuut...I got to thinking that maybe the food would be too heavy for as hot as it's likely to be in June. Is that silly? Convince me one way or the other.

Thanks,

Tracie

We love the biergarten, we went twice on our last trip! I say Try it! :thumbsup2 No matter where u go if you eat too much you will feel like you have a heavy feeling in your stomach. Pace yourself and you will be fine I think.

All the restaurants have AC; we ate there in August with no problems. Honestly, we had no trouble at any of our TS in the heat because we had a chance to cool down. We did make sure for counter service to eat at places that had indoor seating. The one time we didn't, we really didn't enjoy our meal.

I think you will be fine if you schedule it accordingly. We had dinner at LeCellier on our 6th day of vacation this past Sept. After eating out 3 meals a day for 6 days, then walking around a VERY hot and humid park all day, what should have been a fabulous meal was really lost on us. :sad2: I think if we has scheduled it sooner in our vacation we would have appreciated it much more. We are from N.E and while we LOVE the Floriday heat while we are on vacation, it definately does affect our appetites.

There's nothing quite like walking out of the Biergarten on a hot night with a couple of Heff's in your tummy with all that great German food. :thumbsup2

It's amazing you would ask this right now because I am sitting here listening to dis-radio drinking a Spatan Optimator longing for our trip in June. We always go in June as soon as the kids get out of school and always do the Biergarten for dinner. Yes after a liter of Optimator and the buffet I am miserable but the temps outside never bothered me. A nice leisurely walk around the world and I'm ready for bed. I am in such a Disney place of mind right now. Go and enjoy

I hear ya! DH & I love Biergarten, but we always leave STUFFED! Next time, we're vowing to do wine instead of beer. We'll still be stuffed, but we're hoping to avoid "miserable" status since wine isn't quite as heavy. We're thinking of it as an "experiment." (BTW: In the past, our server has always given me a "to go" cup for my beer if I hadn't finished my liter by the time we were done. It's usually dinner, so I sip it while we're watching Illuminations.)

We went in June and it is so much fun. I don't remember feeling overly stuffed, but we were there a WHILE! We were a party of 14 (5 kids) and we all had a ball, kids dancing, grownups drinking the various beer and wine samplers.

We went for an early dinner and then spent much of after-dinner just leisurely strolling around the different countries.

Definately not to heavy...and good anytime you can get in. It is fantastic!

If they have the feiglings fig infused vodka..order it...fantastic!

It isn't the food that hits you in the dog days of June...it's the beer and wine:scared1: I made the mistake of getting a wine flight and DH got the UBER large beer a few years ago and boy, did we pay for it! We were both ready for a nap but had about 7 hours in front of us at the park. Save the cocktails for later in the evening...not at a lunch or early dinner:rotfl:

I would say the food is as heavy as any other buffet. So if you would not go to any buffet in the summer then I would say maybe, otherwise we love it! It is so much fun...just skip the soup in June lol!
