Biergarten fun for kids?

I grew up in a German-American town and love the food and atmosphere of German celebrations and resturants. We don't have any in our area so I am planning to take my wife and 9 year old and 5 year old girls to the Biergarten next month for the food but really the entertainment and atmosphere. Anyone have any first hand experiences or opionions on this?

It is a fun place to go. The entertainment is well done, if stereotypical. The food quality has fallen off in the recent past, but it is still a reasonably good value for WDW. Your family should enjoy it!

We always have a good time at the Biergarten! My DD's love to join the CMs and dance to the music. Oh yeah, a friend of mine went recently and won the yodeling contest...she's a music teacher! Food is not awesome, but it is good...then again I'm comparing it to the food I had in Germany.

We were there a couple of years ago, and during the show one of the band members asked for a volunteer from the audience. My then-6-year-old daughter jumped up and down, with her hand in the air, and got picked. She went up on stage, and "conducted" the band. She got a certificate to prove it! We had a great time.

It's definitely a place you should try at least once, if only for the show.

My kids love this place. They enjoy watching the band and people dance. They did not join in but have requested to return on our next visit.

My sons (9, 6, 3) had so much fun dancing at the restaurant. Within seconds of the music starting, my kids were grabbing me off to the dance floor for some good old silly polkas and chicken dances! They enjoyed having a chance to wiggle and "run" in an appropriate place
