Biergarten for picky kids?

Right now I have Garden Grill reserved but the only choices on the kids menu are mac & cheese or chicken strips. The same foods my kids will be eating at all the CS. So I'm thinking about switching (if I can) to Biergarten. Buffets are usually good because there are lots of options. Also I thought the band would be a good distraction if they weren't interested in the food. But I looked at the menu and I didn't really see any kid foods (except mac & cheese). What do you think should I stay put or try to change? What would your kids prefer? Thanks.

We haven't been to Biergarten in a few years, but I don't think that would be much better.

If they will eat roast chicken and frankfurters that don't look exactly like standard US hotdogs, they might be okay. Not sure what you are looking for if you want kid foods but don't want mac & cheese or chicken nuggets. The only other specific kid food I can think of is pizza and I can't think of anyplace that has pizza on a buffet.

Boma, I know, offers spaghetti and meatballs on the "kids" buffet and Tusker House has make your own peanut butter sandwiches - and roast chicken. I can't think of what any other buffets have specifically for kids.

Kid's meals in WDW are very limited. My DS5 happily eats chicken fingers, fries, pizza and Mickey waffles the entire week. :rotfl2:

At the Garden Grille, they will automatically bring out chicken fingers, fries and mac & cheese. The server told me it's part of the meal, regardless if there are children present.

As for Biergarten, if your child is picky, I wouldn't go there. They only offer hotdogs and mac & cheese. It's the only buffet that does not have a kid's table. If your child will eat roasted chicken or veal schnitzel, then it's a fun meal especially with the dinner show.

I think my kids would love the show, but I know my DS5 wouldn't eat a thing. Same goes for Mexico. :sad2:

How about China's Nine Dragons or Japan's Teppan Edo? :confused3

The look of the place was GREAT

but not alot of choices for kids, and I honestly ate pretzal bread for dinner that night.

Look threw the menus and see what they have that your kids will eat

We actually found Rose and Crown to our liking

Okay, My daughter liked it my son, Well the nice thing is there is Mcdonalds right by canada so we just brought that in for him.

It depends on what your kids are looking for. My kids don't eat a lot of chicken nuggets and pizza on a regular basis - so having that meal after meal at WDW isn't what they like. My kids loved Biergarten - they liked some of the sausages, they loved the potato soup and pretzel bread, they liked the roast chicken and roast pork. My kids ate more at Biergarten than at any other meal we had on our trip.
