Biergarten for non-drinkers???

It is definitely okay to go and not drink. My husband is a beer drinker, and although he was enjoying some wonderful beer our waiter picked for him (at his request), no one else was drinking.

We arrived about an hour before our ADR just to see if they could get us in, and they did!

It'll be fine. Be advised that if you don't want to be seated at a table with guests drinking beer, that you get communal tables for 8 at Biergarten. I mention this because my group was seated with persons who got upset when we ordered beer.

This floors me...what on earth were those people thinking?? :confused3 Did they not read the name of the restaurant before they entered?? LOL

Thanks again for everyone's responses. It sounds like a fun place, and we truly don't mind others drinking around us. I only wanted to be sure that we wouldn't derail a contest for "healthiest" consumption of brew per table or anything like that. ;) I wouldn't want to ruin someone else's fun....or bring down their average, as it were. And honestly, every time we've walked past it in World Showcase...it sounded like everyone was having a terrific time inside!

I don't drink beer and I LOVED Biergarten (except for sitting with other people). I sat with other families, and I think only one person at the table had a beer. I didn't see any drunk people anywhere.

Go, you'll love it!

I am another who loves Biergarten, I also enjoy drinking. I am not a beer drinker nor is my hubby, and neither of us had alcohol at Biergarten. Our "neighbors" had beer. while the other neighbors did not, but we all had fun. The drinking and not drinking were not even a factor in anyone's fun. The food on the other hand is amazing, we all left so full. Also the decor is beautiful!

It isn't a biergarten in the middle of Oktoberfest in Munich, it is a Disney restaurant with very very little emphasis on the beer...
Very true and I would note of all the TS restaurants we have dined at over the years, there are only two restaurants, where we encountered drunks continually being served alcoholic beverages: WCC and Coral Reef.

This happened to us once too. It made me really uncomfortable at first.... the beer eventually helped lighten my mood though. ;)
