We have ADRs for Christmas Eve dinner at Biergarten, a Candelight Processional package. I thought it would be a great place to have Christmas Eve dinner. However, after looking over the buffet menu, there doesn't seem to be ANYTHING that my very picky DD will eat. I guess I should have thought about this when booking, but I figured that there would be a section of more familiar foods. :confused3 I do see rotissierie chicken on the menu, which she will eat, but has anyone been there recently? The rest of my gang will eat anything that doesn't move fast, but 17 year old DD is PICKY. Any reviews or input would be greatly appreciated!:goodvibes

The food there is awesome! THere is roasted chicken, macaroni and cheese, salads, fruits, chicken fingers, beef rolls, hot dogs, rolls, great potato soup...there is plenty there for a finicky eater

:thumbsup2 The food IS Awsome at Biegarten! and the buffet will allow DD at 17 to get some experience at expanding her food horizon without wasting a full order. If not, there's always mcdonalds on the way out of EPCOT:banana:

Chicken fingers & mac & cheese!:cool1: My poor baby won't starve then! But Disney usually accomodates finicky people, so I shouldn't be surprised. :thumbsup2 Glad to hear the food is good, although the rest of us aren't hard to please. Thanks for the input!:goodvibes

two words- pork schnitzel
Get her to taste it. It's like a country fried steak with a pork chop(boneless) in there

we went there a few weeks ago and the food is really very good.......we try to go there every visit...even for picky eaters there is a good selection.....but try the potato soup......I never would try it until a man in front of me said.....YOU HAVE TO try this.....so I did and omg it was outstanding.....I think they called it potato leek soup....the chicken and salmon were very good too......Hope your dd enjoys it and trys a little..
The apple streudel for dessert with cream sauce .......yummy

I'm an extremely picky eater but I wanted my daughter to experience the Princess meal, so I sucked it up and we went to Askerhus. The food was great. Not the kind of food that I would eat every day but delicious.

One thing she might like alot are their dumplings. A little hard to describe, the closest thing I would compare them to are Italian Gnnochi. They were delicious. The best part of the meal there. As well, your daughter might like some things at the salad bar area. I wouldn't worry too much about it. She'll probably be distracted with the band playing instead of what she's eating. Have fun!

They have meatballs, hotdogs and roast pork too....roasted potatoes, cooked carrots. Lots of desserts. There's got to be something she likes. When you enter, though, the smell of sauerkraut is strong. That totally turned off my DNephew a few years ago.

I to am a very picky eater and loved Biergarten. I stick to chicken, turkey and pastas when I go out to eat. There chicken was excellent. I was able to find a lot of things to eat. I'm sure your DD will like her meal.

That is what I have always worried about. I HATE the smell of sauerkraut and it makes me feel sick. I would love to try Biergarten sometime because I am sure I would enjoy some of the other dishes but if I smell sauerkraut I won't be able to eat anything anyway.

As you can see from the pic, my also picky DD was able to find plenty to eat. It's one of her favorite restaurants.

Chicken strip, mac & cheese, pretzel roll and fried potatoes.

:lmao: :rotfl2:

When my DD (now 12) was a toddler she called it "sauercrap". :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl: :lmao:

We are of German descent, though, so totally looking forward to eating here in December. :thumbsup2

I would characterize Disney overall as being appropriate for the pickiest of eaters. They really cater to non-adventurous eater overall.

I have yet to find a restaurant in Disney that I would not recommend to the pickiest eaters that I know.

Thanks for all of the great info! YUM!!!! DD saw the photo of the chicken & mac & cheese & that's usually what she eats no matter where she is, so she'll be fine. Potato leek soup? Doubt if she'll touch it, but it sure sounds good to the rest of us! I'm getting hungry just reading this! Again, thanks a lot! I can't WAIT to try it.:)

I just came back with 5 children and it was truly horrible!!! The food is not bad but very ethnic. Please be very careful, my 4 yr old twins ate nothing!!! My 8 & 10 year old had bread and dessert. My 16 yr old did eat, and I picked my husband ate but admitted it was not the best and we will never return.

Please look at the menu, otherwise it will be a waste!

Thank you for posting this. We are going there with a large group next month and I'm a picky eater so I was really worried I would have nothing to eat. I don't eat any form of sausage or anything I have to pick off a bone. So, I was nervous, but now I'm excited to try the other stuff people have described.

Isn't the point of Epcot- to try different "ethnic" foods and be exposed to different cultures? If you go to a German Biergarten expecting hamburgers, you are missing the point. :confused3
