How is the food here for a picky eater? I don't eat anything sausage or pork related. I am also not big on vegetables. I don't want to end up with nothing to eat. Will I be able to find something? This isn't a place I would normally go but I think DBF would love it. Thanks!!

Well, they do have weinerschniztle (have NO clue how to spell that!) which is basically a veal cutlet that is thin and breaded. If it's scweinschniztle it's pork instead of veal. They have awsome bread there and I think they had mac and cheese and some fruit on the salad bar, some cold macaroni-type salad, great dessert.

You can always grab something after if you're still hungry, but I think you'll find something you like. Do you like dumplings/noodles? If so try the spaetzle. It's yummy.

It's very good. I am not big on sausage and kraut either and I really liked it there. There was enough for me to eat there to be happy and not feel like there wasn't anything for me.

Hubby loves sausage and such, me = not so much. I would go back again.

We were there on the 10th. They had mac and cheese and breaded chicken cutlets for the kids/picky eaters.

There was also roladin(beef) sauerbrauten(beef) dumplings, spaetzle, red cabbage and a whole host of other things.

You should be fine :)

You have put my mind at ease! I am ashamed that I don't like most of this food and I am a quarter German. Thanks for your help!

yum...Biergarten...

We love that place...DH loves German food b/c he spent a couple of summers there.

I recommend the apple streudel! :)

We went there to celebrate our anniversary last year with our family. Everyone rolled out of there, including the vegetarian. I am not a sausage or pork person either (having grown up in PA, go figure) but I loved it.

One suggestion - instead of waiting until the last, take a dessert every time you go up to the buffet. That way, you can enjoy before you are too stuffed. Trust me, it works.

my little one ate the pretel bread and chicken spaetzle soup. I remember mac n cheese. The chicken schnitzel was great. Sauerbraten is like beef roast I believe. enjoy.
