My family of seven are looking to attend the Candlelight Processional this December. Has anyone done the Biergarten dinner package before the show? We have never been there and would like any opinions you may have. Thanks:santa:

We've never done the package but have dined at the Biergarten several times. We really enjoy it. The band is great, the food is pretty good (I'm not into that heavy stuff but the husband is and he sure eats enough of it!), the service is good.

You will be seated with others at a table of eight (unless you party is eight). We've only had one time when we had one couple at the table who were really bad. They wouldn't talk to anyone, even to each other, they didn't even look at anyone else, they didn't even smile. And they sat in the middle of the table so the rest of us couldn't talk to each other either. They took one plate of the buffet and left without a word. The rest of the dinner was fantastic.

Hints - take one dessert every time you go to the buffet. Very good and if you wait until the end, you will be too full to enjoy. If you drink beer and get a large one and can't finish it, ask for a "to go" cup. No sense leaving some behind.

We also like getting there in between performances of the band so we are ensured of seeing a full one without interruption.

Great idea...just allow at least 45 minutes from end of dinner to start of the show as the Processional is usually packed with just dinner reservation package folks and the line will go back to Japan, again with dinner reservation tag folks ONLY...I would try to sit in the middle somewhere, farther back fine, because the show is definately produced to be seen from straight on. Way to either side makes it hard to see the orator.

Also make SURE you know where to pick up your tags that are good for dinner and the show...in the past it is at the entrance to EPCOT, and you do not want to have to walk all the way back before dinner.

Biergarten is fun, the food is pretty good, expecially the German cold cuts and the sauerkraut and brats...also have a baked fish like salmon, chicken, beef, and good salads...

Their show is fun and like the folks above said, you will sit with others who are usually fun.

Enjoy...Ted

We were at the Biergarten Christmas eve (2007) for dinner. There were 7 of us...we had the table to ourselves. The band did a special Christmas show and told the story of the song Silent Night...it was wonderful! After our meal we got in line for the Candlelight processional preformance (I believe our dinner seating was for 5:30pm and our show was 8pm.) Even though we were at Disney the evening reminded us of the reason for the season! Have a great time!
