I'll be having lunch at Biergarten on Sunday and am thinking about ordering the beer flight. I am slowly starting to like beer and am interested in trying the different kinds (I really like the Altemunster Oktoberfest they have). Can anyone who has been there fairly recently tell me about what is served in flight and if it is still $10+tax?

Thanks!:drinking1

Are you talking about the tent outside to the left of the Germany pavilion or the restaurant? If you are talking about the restaurant, I don't believe the serve the flight. I thought that was only outside. We ate there on Christmas Eve, and you could not get all of the same beers in the restaurant that they were serving outside. The only one that was in both locations was the Hovels.

Unless things have changed, Biergarten DOES serve a flight. I had it in November of 2009.

We ate inside in Dec. 2010 and my DH ordered the beer flight. If I remember correctly, there were two different flights to choose from. I'm sorry, I don't remember which one he chose, but he did enjoy it (them?). I believe the price was still around $10.00 Sorry, I realize that I'm not too much help. I guess I can confirm that it still existed in Dec. :goodvibes

Enjoy your trip! We love Biergarten!

I had the beer flight a couple of weeks ago, shared it with my 21 yr. old dd and my dh had a few tastes as well.

The beers ranged from light to dark. My dd and I liked the two middles ones the best, but then neither of us are big beer drinkers. Pretty sure the flight was the same beer you could also order a full glass at a time further down the drinks menu.

With the TIW the prices was only $8. and well worth it!!!

If you are just starting out drinking beer, this is your best bargain. Not only will you be served the flight, but you will be told the different "flavors". I do have to advise that you probably should not finish every single glass. It's a bit much even for my hearty beer drinking husband. Order it, taste what you want but be advised to check to see how you are reacting to it. Overall, yes, I think you should do it but just monitor yourself.

And BTW - the Biergarten does have "to go" cups in case you are interested.
