Someone mentioned a Bridge Tour in the thread for the Galley Tour.

Do they have a tour of the Bridge on the Magic?

That sounds very interesting.

Yes, they do. They had it and then after 9/11 discontinued it...but they recently reinstated the tour.

I am not sure what day it takes place but I am sure someone else here will know.

We just went on a 3-day Wonder cruise,
and took the Bridge tour. It's 30 minutes long, and you actually "tour" the bridge
from a small observation area above the
bridge. It's still pretty fascinating, and I would definitely recommend it. They allow significant time for Q & A, and you learn some interesting tidbits. For example, the ship "makes" it's own water, and uses 100 gallons of fuel per mile. The tour is free, sign up at Guest Services, no children allowed.

Are there certain bridge tour times and days? I will be sailing on the Magic in August on a 7day Western cruise and my DH is VERY interested in the tour.

Any info is appreciated.

I know they did the tour on Cozumel day, and I believe the other was on Key West day. Definitely only on two days while you are in port. Come to think of it those two are the two ports with later departure times. Grand Cayman is earlier and there wasn't a tour that day.

We did one on the June 19th Western Cruise. We originally had one scheduled for Key West, but missed it due to the long line getting back on the boat from the port.

We went to guest services where they told us it was done every port day. So for us it was Key West, Grand Cayman, Cozumel and Castaway Cay. We ended up doing it in Castaway Cay. They had 41 people scheduled and said they were only allowed to take 39. Only 10 people showed up.

We went on it last August...the Magic. It was great. The info for signing up will be in the Navigator!!!

FYI, children ARE allowed on the bridge tour. They may have some minimum age, but my nine-year-old and his older sister attended with us when we took the bridge tour in May.

Thanks for all the great information!!!

This is a great forum!
