Are there any good places to ride bikes close to Coronado Resort?

Can you bike into the 4 theme parks?

I'm assuming you are joking, especially about riding bikes in teh theme parks.

If you really want a great place to ride bikes, you'll have to leave WDW. Take the 429 to Route 50 and take route 50 west for about five miles to the West Orange Trail.

Disney really tries to discourage bike riding except for surrey bikes that they rent. On most Disney roads, there are no sidewalks, and the bus traffic would make it dangerous to ride bikes in the road.

Except for Fort Wilderness, where I think people bring bikes so they don't walk as far at the campground, I don't think Disney really wants you riding your bike.

Also, roller blading is illegal in Florida roadways and parking lots, believe it or not. We found that out when we brought our blades to Coronado Springs.

I would leave your bikes at home.

By that, I meant to the theme parks, instead of using a car.

My guess is they absolutely do not want you riding in the parking lots or on thier roadways, the shoulders are not wide and the drivers are not paying attention to where they are going. Once you were in the lot, there would be no place tos ecure your bikes.

In 17 trips, I don't recall ever seeing anyone on a bicycle at WDW. You definitely don't want to ride to the theme parks; most of the roads you'd have to take are multi-lane highways with cars and buses flying by at 55+ mph, and no shoulders.

WDW just isn't bike-friendly. I wouldn't bother bringing them, unless you want to go off-property to ride.
