I called to make reservations today for my DD at the new Bibbity Boppity Boutique, however since she's not three yet (she will be in July) they said she is too young for it. I know she would be so excited to experience this, do you think we should try it anyways? We could easily persuade her into thinking she's three :rotfl: I was thinking about it today and asked her, "How old are you?" and she replied "14". :lmao:

Do you think they'd do it anyways?

can she sit still long enough? maybe do some practice at home salon treatments .....I say go for it !

When are you going? If it's just before she's 3 it might be OK but not if it's too much before.

If they still won't take her, go to Pixie hollow and see Cynthia Vee - the face painter there. She's very sweet and will work with younger children. She's done my daughter a couple times now and is fabulous! Also, the cost for a face painting session ranges from $11 to $20 - depending on how large the design is!

My dd has always been older than her age. Some kids are just that way. She's very tall ( 56 inches and 7 years old) and very mature. I hate that sometimes because I want to know what happened to the baby I used to have. But it is very nice to be able to take her to a nail or hair salon and know that she can sit still and always has since she was 2. If your DD is that way, too, I say go fo it. If she is a bit wiggly, I would say wait. The Godmothers put stickers on their faces, makeup, press on nails and lots and lots of bobby pins. So keep that in mind

I'm pretty sure she'll sit through it so I might try it, but I didn't know about the face painting thing so maybe we'll get more bang for our buck there. It's such a huge jump in price from the makeover to the clothing ($50 to $200) and I know she won't want to stop with just the makeup. She'll want the gowns and the crown and the wand.....such a great idea but might hurt the pocketbook a little. Maybe we can get away with the face painting instead. Hmmmm.... might just wait and decide when we get there. Of course I'm such an impulse buyer. The last time we went to DL, the last day we spent so much money at the Emporium before they closed because we knew it was our last chance. :rolleyes1 Anyways, thanks for the ideas.

How often do you visit DL? If you'll be back in a year or two, I'd wait for the BBB. She'd probably enjoy the attention and I'm sure you'd love to see it, but I think a slightly older girl would get more out of it. I think the girl gets a little bag of makeup/etc. to take home and I don't think that would be much fun (or even safe?) for a 2-year-old. If she was 4 or 5, though, then I think there's a much better chance that she'd remember her time as a "princess" and maybe even appreciate the expense/specialness more as well. :)

But as far as the full package, I know at WDW parents often buy their girls princess dresses to wear to the park, and then go to the BBB later. You can get dresses a lot cheaper outside the park so that's probably the more economical solution.

I'm cheap and try to follow the rules both, so I would probably buy her a princess dress and tiara and wand outside of DL, and then get her face painted if she thinks that would be fun. You could even do her hair in a special style yourself if you wanted to, as she might enjoy that just as much as being pestered by a stranger. :)

Have a great trip, whatever you do!
