Not sure this is in the right place. I have lurked as a Guest to get reviews on offsite hotels and decided on the Carousel so ty all for that

We are going May 28-June 5. My daughter turns 3 on June 24! Of course I called and they said must be 3 or over. She is a great kid and I know she will be fine for it (sit still etc). If I say she just turned 3 they will have no idea. So wondering how they actually confirm the age or if it's just by looks. Thanks in advance

Doesn't she need a ticket to the park if she is 3? If she doesn't have a ticket to the park, I guess they would know.

When I went in and talked with the "fairy godmothers in training" that work inside BBB they said it is more of a suggestion, if your DD can sit still and be comfortable for that amount of time and hair tugging then they would of course help her get a makeover/hair done. The reason for the age limits is that most little girls can't sit still at such a young age.

Perhaps if your DD already gets her hair done in a salon and she has no problems I say go for it!

It is a really wonderful shop and even if your DD doesn't get the appointment for hair then go in to the shop and just explore all the pretty things for little girls...my DD was only 2 1/2 yrs old when we went in and she loved all the pretty girly things

My daughter turned two on our visit and did the BBB. They said it was fine as long as she would be comfortable for the visit. My 2 year old loved it and kept her hairdo all day. She did start out sitting on my lap in the chair, but then she transferred to sitting on her own.

This will be our second trip and I am always more excited than the kids are...maybe because I was deprived of Disney as a child lol

DD's favourite princess is Sleeping Beauty (has not seen Cinderella yet mind you) so I asked if she wanted a Sleeping Beauty dress and she said yes. So I showed her a pic online and said or do you want to wear your Cinderella dress (bought it last year and she refused to wear it, no favourite princess at that time...wore it for Hallowe'en) and showed her the Cinderella dress. She is so in love with it she wants to wear her Cindrella dress lol.

I am so excited! Even better, the trip is practically free. We are in Canada and my husband works with a US company. Four times a year he travels to Santa Ana and one trip a year, his company pays our air, hotel, car and meals. All we have to worry about are tickets and souvenirs...loving it with the strong dollar!!

So how do I go about setting up a time for the BBB? My 8 yo DD would love to have this done. Did it in WDW 3 years ago and says she wants to have it on our summer trip to DL.

My daughter was 2 1/2 last year and did it with no problem. Not once did they ask for proof of her age. During conversations she said so you are 3? and that was it. She loved and it!!!!

She is going this yr again to another makeover!!! hehehehe

Just a little FYI, we have been twice and both times they have been out of one of my daughter's shoe size. I would perhaps consider prepurchasing your shoes if you are doing the complete package deal. They don't charge you a flat fee but instead just add up all the peices so you wouldn't loose out by bringing your own shoes. You might have to buy a certain number of accessories. Another option is to substitute a different princess shoe (which we did last year) but if you daughter really wants a specific princess it might be disappointing.
