My sister and I are going to WDW and were determined to go to Bibbiti Bobbiti Boutique as a Christmas gift to each other. Unfortunately, we are 18 & 21. :( what are places similar to BBB that have no age limit?

The Pirate's League is just fabulous and they don't have an age limit! They have a mermaid package and an empress package - both are pretty cute! You can Google it for images! :)

We had a great time getting made up for Pirates League and the cost was really reasonable. You can go as big or small as you want as they sell costume paraphernalia, too, if wanted. I chose a mermaid while the rest of the family went with pirates. DD added on a costume but it's hard to see it in the picture. I got a necklace and they got medallions to wear around their necks, clip on earring, fake swords, eye patch and bandana. The CM's braided my daughter's hair and roped my short hair (hard to tell with the bandana on DD), and the CM's were soooooooo nice! I swear they were the nicest and most fun CM's I've encountered yet!

We had a great day with it. Most of the CM's throughout the park(s) joined in on our fun by speaking piratey-speak to us all day, while regular guests looked at us as if we were realllllly weird (so what!), but we had an absolute BLAST!!! We really want to do it again.

Another thing....DD did BBB a few years ago and loved the experience, but preferred this costume get-up in the hot, hot summer months over the BBB gowns; just a consideration.

They changed it a few years ago...their website states that it's for "princesses between the ages of 3 and 12".

I know we sound crazy, but we grew up going to Disney world and have always "dreamed" of being a Disney princess! When we were younger BBB wasn't an option! From what I've read it seems like they recently(idk exactly how long ago) changed the age to up to 12 year olds.

Could you buy tiara from a shop and take them with you to the salon. I bet you could get an up do and make it your own experience.

There's an episode of Big Bang Theory where Penny, Amy and Bernadette go to Disneyland and go through a "royal treatment" and get dressed up as Cinderella, Snow White and Aurora. Their costumes are very elaborate, and their hairstyles are true to their character's. They look like they could tag out the princesses at the Meet & Greets! I wanna go to DL and get THAT dressed up!

About 5 or 6 years ago.

One member of my group got her hair cut at the Harmony Barbershop on her birthday, and they put in this awesome glittery confetti with a special spray to make it stay in. When I admired it, they offered to put it in mine for free. People were stopping us all day to ask where we got it! So that might be something you could ask about if it sounds interesting to you.

That episode aired way back in March, 2013. Disneyland BBB has the same age limits as WDW. The only time an adult could get that dressed up in a Disney park is during a Halloween party.

OMG! I saw that...it looked awesome! If only there was a BBB for adults....

Omg how funny I was just reading through the thread getting ready to post that the girls on BBT got to do it at DLR! lol

Maybe they put an age limit because they don't want dressed up adults confusing the kids on who the princesses are. The princess all haves specific requirements, stories, signatures, etc.

Adults USED to be able to do BBB.

I thought I saw that there is now an age limit because parents got furious that they couldn't get their kids in because adults were booking spaces.

They won't let you though, DLR has the same age rules for BBB and the same rules about costumes in the parks

You're not alone in this, Addison. I, too, wish there was something similar to BBB for adults, although I'm not really sure how they'd do that. The Pirates League mermaid stuff is nice, and salons in the resorts are nice, and heavens know I adore going to the spa, but it's really just not the same at all as going into the Castle and having Fairy Godmothers make you up like a princess.

In addition to it being limited to children only, I'm just not sure how well the makeover would work on an adult- they only have three hairstyles I think and the Princessy one is just a really tight bun that wouldn't be terribly flattering on a wide range of people, and the makeup really is suited for a very young face.

If they could come up with a way to make an adults version of the BBB with better hair and makeup without it going into costume mode, that'd be fantastic, but I also imagine that it would take a lot longer and cost a lot more so Disney is probably less likely to invest in something like that.

All that said, you can go to the BBB and have them sprinkle you with pixie dust and let you make a wish. The Fairy Godmothers there are really, really nice.

We plan on doing Pirate's league on our girls trip next December! Who's inner child doesn't want to dress up at WDW?! lol
