I read on the website that BBB is for ages 3 and up. Do you think it would be a problem for an almost 3 to get her makeover done. She will turn 3 two weeks after our visit!

I would call and ask. If she does well with sitting still for facepainting and such, I wouldn't see it as a problem. After all, she is practically 3.

A warning though - if she is entering the park for free, because she is under three, and you are expecting her to be younger than 3 for eating for free at table service and such, it should be mentioned that it will be extremely obvious that she has been to the BBB - which she needs to be 3 to do. That means they might rightfully assume she is 3 and charge you for her drinks and such. Just be prepared for possible snags during the rest of your time in the park!

When we went in Sept 09 I was told oer the phone when I booked my 6 year old that they would not let me make an appt for my 2 year old (turned 3 in Nov so 6 weeks shy). However, when we checked into the BBB they told me they would happily do a makeover for my 2 yr old if she was able to stay seated and wanted to do it. I would definitely call the phone number and talk to them about it. Then, know that if they say no you could always pop into the shop and see what they say in person.

When I called to reserve my 2 yr old (and my 4 and 6 yr olds), they did ask me if she would sit still and then took my reservation.
Sorry, I have mentally blocked out how much I paid for my 3 girls. LOL, I do recall my DH being shocked, I think it was $50-, as i recall him saying "I thought you said $15-!" When you get there, they have a couple of hairstyles to choose from. For my 2 yr old she did a princess one which included a crown. My older girls did a style that included extensions.

Ah, here are the prices from the Disney website:

Coach Package includes hairstyling and shimmering makeup — starting at $49.95 USD plus tax.
Crown Package includes hairstyling, shimmering makeup and nails — starting at $54.95 USD plus tax.

I could swear we saw the Tiana dress in BBB in Jan when we were there....
Prices have gone up about $5 from when we did it. We did the Coach Package (x3, I did it with the girls) and it was $44.95, we also did the photo package.

They had the Tiana dress when we went in Sept 2009. And, it looks like the prices have been bumped up by $5.

Hi Mamaso, I finally got organized enough to get some photos up.

I think your GD will be OK if she can sit still. When we came, there were not a lot of girls there - it was about 9 am with the park opening at 8. The ladies were entertaining and playing with her throughout the process. I did ask that they don't pull her hair back so tight, so it might have taken longer. She did the Fantasy Princess hair (I think that's what it was called) with the tiara. The one with the extension might end up being too scratchy and hot, and the third one we did not care for. DD was already wearing her outfit, so she did not need to change (and I did not have to carry a set of clothing around the park lol). We picked a morning appt so that she can enjoy it the whole day.

They do have a booster on the seat:


They started with the hair, then a second person started the makeup and nails. They had given her the ring (color is different depending on the princess - Belle's was red).




We signed up for the Crown package (hair and nails), but added the purse and gloves, and the scepter separately. They put on the gloves and gave the scepter while the hair was being finished. Then they put the ring back on so it was on the outside.


I think they were pretty good about keeping DD occupied while the hair was being done.

We also got the photo package, and the photographer took pictures with two backgrounds in the studio.


We spent more than just the basic package, since we had the add-ons, but at least it was not as costly as getting the full package. It was well worth it!

I have an appointment for my DGD(4) in September. I have purchased a very nice Cinderella dress and slippers from my closest Disney Store to save a few $. Does DGD need to wear the outfit to the appointment or do is there a changing area we can use? I assume, since they sell dresses for the full packages, they would somewhere to change but not sure if you can use it if you do not purchase the outfit there. Anyone done this?

They do have a changing room in the back, although we didn't use it. I think if you do the whole package, they set it up and lay everything out after you pick the outfit, but if it is empty, you can probably go ahead and use it. You can call and ask, or perhaps another DISer will know.

We bought our dress at the Disney Store too. I couldn't pay that crazy price. I know the dresses are a bit more detailed in DL but this way we can get DD a wand or gloves. They did have Tiana at the Disney Store.
DD has no idea she will be doing this. She is eager to wear her dress. In fact she told me she needs something special to wear everyday we are there!!
