Curious as to which BBB you all prefer, and is there a difference between Cinderellas Castle Boutique and Disney Springs Boutique? Thanks in advance for your help!!

Only difference is the location. That's it. If you want the true castle experience go with the castle. If you want to just get it done I'm sure DS/DTD will be fine.

Well Disney Springs boutique isn't in the castle, which to me is 'nuf said, lol. For us, it was the idea of "being IN the castle", but also because it was so much more convenient, it didn't require the hassle of trying to leave the park, get to the Springs, then back again etc... But, that said, I think Disney Spring's is bigger, and easier to get into appointment wise. They're both BEAUTIFUL.

I would have preferred an appointment at the castle but there were none available for the week of our visit so I took one of 2 appointments available at Disney Springs. I am a bit worried on getting to MK in time for our FP and lunch at Cinderella's castle.

What little princess wouldn't prefer to be made over in the castle?

But for location, they are essentially the same. I have to say, there's something special about having the makeup at the castle. Besides, it so adorable to see little girls walking around MK, dresses up as little princesses being treated by the CMs as royalty. This is a pic of my daughters last summer:

Note, that it's much tougher to get a reservation at MK vs Disney Springs. Book early!

We prefer Disney springs. My daughter would be miserable in full makeup and itchy tulle all day at MK. And sweating w the makeup going in her eye!

She gets the full package, does the princess parade, and then we do dinner. Everyone stops and compliments her along the way and she's the happiest girl in the world!

I took my niece to the castle. I think location is everything for the BBB, seeing as she was 4.

The bold is the only real difference
MK does not have the parade

You must get way more make up put on at DS location
We've done it many times at MK, once in DL and there has never been so much make up it would run in the eyes

How far in advance would you book to do it at MK? We're going in Late May. Too late for an appointment?

It really just depends on what else you plan on doing that day.The MK location fills up faster, do the DTD location can be a good option if you aren't going to be going to MK until late afternoon/evening or are going to be at any of the other parks. We've done both and my DD enjoyed them both. Now that she's older, she prefers the Pirate's League.

My daughter has been to both locations. They are both great, I think it's a little more exciting for the girls to go to the MK location because of the castle.

The hairstylists were very good in both location. In my opinion the best one was at Downtown Disney

At the 180 day mark.

People cancel. It's worth checking.

Yep to this, there is a charge if people are no shows so definitely keep checking. Good luck!

Well, as we sit, its going to be DS, CC was booked. At least we got her in. Going to keep checking back for a cancellation.

Is the only way to make reservations by calling them?

I'm from the uk so a phone call could be quite costly.

We prefer the castle but that's bc we always do lunch at CRT afterwards. The salon at DS is really nice, it'll just be a little more work getting back to MK for your meal!

My granddaughter is 6 and has been to BBB 3 times but we only did the down town disney location because we could not get a castle reservation. The CM'S are good at both places but since the price is the same at both places
We prefer the castle location as it just feels more special. We usually follow up wiTH a fast pass or meal to see Cinderella right after the BBB. If you do the full package and have the disney photographers take tons of pics this takes about 2.5 hours easily. She loves this experience and so does my wife.

Nothing like watching my two daughters get all dressed up in Cinderella castle in Magic kingdom . Then walking around the most magical place on earth !
