oh yeah and does anyone who has done this have any pictures to share to give me an idea of what this is... thanks again

I maybe wrong, but I believe Bibbi-di-bobbi-di is only in WDW. I think your options for a princess make-over in DL are Club Libbi Lu in DTD and maybe something in the Princess Fantasy faire

basically bibbi-di is a little kid "salon" where fairygod mothers in training do a make over (for a nice $$) on your little princess. Saw it last year in WDW the little ones looked like they were having a wonderful time

:rotfl: ok so now i feel like a complete idiot.. lol oh well whats new.. well then can u tell me about the princess thing.. omg how embarassing..

Try going to the Club Libby Lu web site to get more info on their offerings:
http://www.clublibbylu.com/

The BBB is only at WDW; There is a Club Libby Lu at DL's DTD, but that is run by them, not Disney.

At DL, they have Princess Fantasy Fair. It's the main area in DLR where you can see most of the princesses. They have a meet and greet line (which is HORRIBLY long and moves PAINFULLY slow), a coronation ceremony (stage performance) and storytelling by the princesses. They have a little area there where they will do your little princess' hair (not sure of the cost).

There is also Ariel's Grotto restaurant in DCA where the Princesses have their own character meal (breakfast, lunch or dinner). Many here believe it is the easiest way at DLR to get your princess fix. princess:

If you are wanting your daughter to look like a princess Libby Lu may not be for you. She will look more like a Bratz doll than Snow White.

Not so true for my daughter and her friends. Two times now they have had their hair done up in a pretty up do, with a sprinkle of glitter and a tiara, nails and toes with glitter polish. On their faces they glue little rinestones on the cheekbone. The last time my DD was going into 8th grade. Then they went to DL and bought a princess sash and wore that with it. princess: They looked so cute, and didn't think it looked over done at all. I wish I could post the pics of them. I don't know how. I have the cutest picture of them posing in between Mickey and Minnie giving of them each a kiss.

I think that at Libby-Lu you can do more makeup if you want. It just depends on what you pick. They even do Hannah Montana!

Anyways, I know my DD will like to go again, even though she will be 14 the next time around. She's already talking about it. You are never too old to be a princess. And this time I can get a discount with our APs!!!!! :woohoo:

Whoops! I double posted so I erased everything.:rolleyes1

Club Libby Lu in Downtown Disney does have a princess "makeover." They put the girl's hair in an up-do type of bun...and then add a tiara. The make-up is done very lightly...not like Bratz at all. Very light eyeshadow and lip gloss, nail polish and glitter. All the colors are very light pastel, so it's not like they are wearing tons of makeup...and there's no eye liner or mascara. They do it in a way that is appropriate for a child playing dress-up, very cute for a little girl.

The cost with tax for the type of makeover my daughter usually gets at Club Libby Lu is about $26.00. It includes the makeover, a makeup compact with the eye shadow and lip gloss, a string-type backpack bag, and they get to pick 5 items to put in the backpack from their "pick five" wall. The "pick five" items are a huge selection of lip gloss, hair bands, barrettes, necklaces, bracelets, etc. They also have lots of clothes, shoes, etc., but they're pretty spendy. There's also another option where you can pick 3 "spa" treatments for about $13 I think. The girls get to pick three items (such as face mask, lip gloss, perfume body spray) and make it themselves. This was also a hit with my daughter. Very fun! The "spa" items are very large, so they last a long time.

Make sure to make an appointment if you decide to do this. I hear the one in Downtown Disney gets really busy.

We make a reservation for early in the day, then we go to Disneyland and my daughter feels like a princess for the rest of the day! Definitely makes them feel special.

The problem we had with Libby Lu was that it was really hot (there is no air conditioning) and REALLY, REALLY, REALLY Loud. Did I mention loud? Oh yes, it was loud. They have the music cranked up as high as it will go--so you literally have to yell into each others ears to hear. Both of my girls were so overheated and overstimulated by the time we got out of there--it actually gave my oldest daughter a bad headache. It is so crowded as well. It would probably be better in a time of year that it is not so warm outside.

The make up will be very "Bratz-style" unless you request otherwise. One of my girls had the Hannah Montana makeover (it comes with a very itchy wig that we abandoned half way through dinner at Goofy's kitchen) and the other just had a "pop princess" makeover. The makeover without the wig was better, but the hairstyle was really tight (very tight rubber bands in tons of little ponytails all over her head) and she asked to take it out soon after leaving because it was bugging her. If your daughter is not use to wearing lots of make up, she may not like the feeling of all of the eye make up and lip gloss they put on them. My youngest was just 6, and it was not the fun time she expected--it was more uncomfortable than anything else.

The store has lots of fun things to buy for the "tween" set. It is very expensive, but they do have some cute stuff. The necklaces I bought for the girls both broke before we got home from our trip, so keep that in mind--the quality is pretty junky.
