I am interested in taking my daughter to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique at cinderella's castle princess: . How far ahead do I have to make reservations? I read on the website that they have boys cool dudes color hair gel and confetti for $10. Has anyone ever taken a boy for the cool dude treatment?

I have seen the cool dude treatment while walking around the park... one mom said that it left a mess all over their room during the afternoon quiet period (she had younger kids).

I am also interested in knowing about reservations. Plus, can adults get them as well? My DH thought he was being cute by suggesting I go for the princess treatment before our storybook dinner (I'm the only female influence in our home), but I was thinking it wouldn't be so bad. Is this crazy? I think it may be fun!

We took our 3 daughters to BBB in DTD on our last trip (Nov '06) and have it booked again for this trip (Nov '08). It is so great. I wondered if it was worth it, but it is!!! We have no boys, so I don't know much about the Cool Dude part, but it is "girly" in there, so maybe not great for an older boy. But, a couple visits ago we took our youngest to the barber in MK for her first haircut and daddy (who is balding and often shaves it all off) got his head shaved and they painted a mickey on the back of his head with google eyes! It was so fun, everyone was talking about him "behind his back". I know there you can have hair painted for boys (and men), and it was pretty affordable, but you have to wait in line, no reservations. It was fun though...

Thanks for the info. If you already booked for next Nov. I better get moving - I am going in April.

Thanks:goodvibes

You can book BBB 180 Day out...just like the restaurants. In fact, Disney dining can book it for you. Adults can make appointments to have their hair done but remember that adults can not wear costumes in the park other than MNSSHP or P&P Parties.

It's $7.50 plus tax according to the website for the Cool Dudes style.

Thanks - when I call to make our CRT reservation I will make BBB reservation. Does anyone know appx. how long an appointment takes?

We are going THIS November (in 3 months), so don't panic! I called 180 days out (because I wanted Thanksgiving day). Also, we were there about an hour, then we went and did about a half hour photo shoot. The photos were beautiful. We got costumes at the Disney Store before we left (for then 4 and 7 year old, then 11 year old just wore a pretty skirt set). You will have such a great time... And yes, we saw some moms doing it at well.

It doesn't take as long as Disney will tell you it takes. Maybe 20-30 minutes but there may be a wait. I actually called and changed our time because the first time, Disney told me I needed an hour and a half (and we had the first appt of the day so it's not like they were going to be backed up) between BBB and CRT. HUH :confused3 You could JUMP from one door to the other!!!:rotfl: I scheduled them an hour apart and that should be plenty of time.

Thanks for the info. :goodvibes My 180 days is Oct. 8th so I will make both appointments at the same time.

Still would love to hear about "cool dude" experiences. My son's are 5&6 and love to look like "rock stars".

You can try and call on the 8th. However, Disney Dining isn't currently taking 180 day out ressies because they are changing the ADR system. System is supposed to be back up and running 10/24. It's worth a call on the 8th but plan to call on the 24th (with a million other people :rotfl: ) just in case.

When you call, have your CC # handy...you need it to book BBB.

We took our daughter last year September and it was unbelievable experience. She had the whole dress up package done and it was all worth it. It did take us about an hour. When we got there for our appointment they were behind and we had to wait about 20 minutes before they called her name. But it really is worth it. We are taking her back this September again.
I have seen the boys and it looks really cute - very inexpensive and does not take a long time:dance3:

We are taking our granddaughters (ages 4 and 16) to the boutique. One is getting the hair, make-up, nails, and dress, etc - the older granddaughter is getting hair, make up, nails. If the entire cost comes to about $230 - what do we tip?

Having never been to BBB - is the Fairy Godmother in Training that does her hair, etc the same one that helps her get her dress, etc? If not, do we tip both?

Lastly, what about the photographer? Do we tip that person too?

We don't want to be stingy, so we thought we'd check with others that have been there - done that.

Thanks!

Oooh...hadn't even thought of this. Does anyone know? From looking at other people's pics, it looks like there are sometimes two different FGITs working on a child at a time.

Wow Glad I found this! I didn't even know that BBB took reservations, I'm planning on taking my DD8 for the Hannah Montana Makeover. Anyone done this one? It says $109, but clothes are extra $$, anyone know what I can expect? Thanks

My understanding is that the FGIT can not accept tips. There are are several CM positions that do not allow tipping. We tried to tip the Chef at Lecellier and he told us that he was not allowed to accept it. Someone please correct me if I am wrong.

I know that the receipt at the BBB in DTD did not have a place to put a tip as of May 2007.

I remember seeing on another thread about BBB that the FGIT can accept tips, not neccessary she said (she was a FGIT) but if you feel like you had a good experience then it was appreciated...
We are going in Jan and already have our reservation, an hour before breakfast in CRT. This is a first for us as my two oldest are boys...doing the whole big Princess thing! :)
When did they start redoing the ADR? I was planning on calling in the next couple of days to make my reservations....ACK:eek:
Thanks

Samantha
